No communication, nothing has shown up. They told me they wouldn't send me tracking but may follow up since they aren't confident in their inventory.

I see the charge is still pending... We'll see!

Does anyone have any recommendations for bed bars for our trucks? I had some nice ones on my Taco but those all used the C-Channel to clamp down and these trucks don't have those integrated into the bed.

Nothing like a freak rainstorm when your truck has bare steel parts all over it. Someday I'll learn. 20250302_104034.jpg

I’ve got a dumb idea. Flat tow a pajero chassis with a popup camper mounted to it. Maybe use airbags for leveling. Short wheelbase, would fit in a 20x30 canopy. I can reverse a wagon, but not 2.

I'm going to order some of these rolled edge clamps for my OEM CV boots, because I hate the style they come with (with a passion). I'm curious if any one knows the dimensions for the inners and outers? All I can seem to find is the 90-110mm for the larger outer clamp.

So I'm looking for the dimension of the larger clamp on the inners, and then the dimension for the smaller clamp which should be the same for inners and outers?

The dimensions (in mm) should be stamped directly on the clamp. Like this. Make a list of what yours are, and go from there.

Mine are a mess of grease and grime, and if I can avoid lifting the truck and getting dirty to spin the axles and clean them right now I'd like to. If nobody has the numbers I'll make due, but thought they might be handy somewhere.

Should wipe off the band pretty easy, I definitely had to wipe mine clean for that photo. First thing to do is confirm you have an OEM axle. If not, it doesn’t matter. There are four clamps per axle. The outers are in that photo I shot. That’s two down, you’re halfway there.

I’d need to dig back thru pics to see if I have pics of my inner clamps too.

Those sizes in my post are what I ordered and also premeasured by wrapping a string around IIRC. Inner 25-40 fit the axle OD outside the groove (larger boots extend beyond the axle groove). Can verify sizes with yours by looking at what is stamped on your OE clamps like @shifty` notes.

There's a ton of that dealer added black widow package trucks up here. They're all ugly as hell and the owners are exactly the tools that you'd expect to buy them haha. Really expensive package if I'm not mistaken.

There's tons of racks out there. You can mix and match hardware from different brands. Max modular/kb voodoo has racks that you can select the clamp vs toyota rail. RCI, CBI, so many options, but basically any rack if you get the right hardware will work. I'm running some Billie Bars from a full size truck that I cut and re tapped the aluminum extrusions to fit. Depending on what you're planning on planning to put on them make sure your dynamic load rating is much higher than what you actually need.

If you're in TX I know a guy in Columbus, TX that makes custom Toyota racks and bumpers and sliders. He used to call his stuff Derp Werx. But now goes by something more professional

I'm preparing for a T belt job and will likely also do front crank seal, as I think it's leaking. In preparing for that... Is there one tool that will make removing both the crank pulley and the crank timing gear easy? I know there is a crank pulley holder tool, but I'm thinking I'm gonna need a puller for the crank gear too!

Damper will require a puller to remove. The timing belt pulley often but not always comes off by hand. If not you can try heat and some blaster. I seem to recall it has two threaded holes on front so you can use a small 2 bolt puller. Be careful not to mar or burr it or it may chew up the new belt. My Dewalt compact 1/2 inch impact was able to remove my crank bolt but the holder is required to properly torque unless you build a DIY bar to bolt to the damper. I hope your cam seals are good because they are a bitch on the VVT engines.

Thanks for the words of wisdom. Maybe I can get a puller for both.

This guy uses the same puller for both. And yea, I'll need a pulley holder for removal and reinstall of that.

I have peeked in at my cam tower seals and they are thankfully not leaking.

Yeah they are. I was hoarding 3 sets for awhile. Finally decided to sell the two 5 lug sets and I kept the 6 lug set. For 1st gen applications I think TRD PRO wheel would be best to achieve the biggest tire with no/ minimal lift. 17x7 +4 offset, I could be wrong.
