The Reno tie down anchors seems to be powder coated, with a little texture to it compare to the Cali Raised or Chavonia. The build quality is nice. Can't go wrong for this set. Let us know what you think of it if purchasing it.

    6inch Heretic light.jpg
These are replacing the Diode Dynamics currently on the Chase Rack, and go with a true amber look. The Diode Dynamics has the yellow fog light color, which I'm not a fan of. At the time they were the only company that offered in a flood pattern. Purpose of going with a flood pattern on the chase rack, it lights enough in inclement weather or at night without blinding others. The new set is the 6" Heretic Amber. Will post before and after photos.

roll up in any climate with snow/ice is a huge mistake. Ask me how I know :anonymous:

Trifold is the best option for regular covers imo. Diamondback style full coverage is for a different use case, but also very nice.

p.s. thought your avatar was a crow until I gave it hard look!

Nah I’m good. The load is over the axles which is better but not exactly where I’d like it but it’s the best we could do.

Installed some Lasfit switchback fogs. Pretty impressed for $87 delivered. The roadside illumination is a great improvement.

Silver17 - did you replace OEM LED fogs or halogen? Wondering if these are brighter/wider than OEM LED. Assuming LED because of the LED headlights?

Also, regarding switching colors...if you're running them white and you use your high beams, will these be amber when you switch back to low beams/fog lights? In other words, do they switch color each time they go on/off, or only if you cycle them within 3 seconds (which I thought I read somewhere)?

    Appreciate any info!

I replaced some LED fogs that the previous owner had in that were decent, but not as bright as these and definitely lower build quality and also were white only. I added the LED headlights on my own.

As for the switchback operation, they only switch color every time you remove and restore power within 3 seconds. They also default to white when powered off and then back on after longer than 3 seconds or at each startup. Basically white is the default and you have to want to make them yellow. That means every time you are running them on yellow and switch from high beams to low beams they will default back to white. I’ve found the quickest way to change color is to flick the high beams (pull the lever toward you). I want to do the anytime fog light mod so that they remain on and don’t change color whenever I want them to be on. With the these bright fogs and LED low beams it’s almost unnecessary to use the high beams currently. Each fog light is 3k lumens.

Did the RSB yesterday. Today I picked up 4 gallons of coolant and 12 qts of atf ws fluid for $140 from a lexus mechanic.

I'm thinking of doing the drain and fill on the atf three times over the course of a month. I may add a cooler on the last fill so I may need 2 more qts. Truck is at 74k miles, just bought it 3 weeks ago. Or would it overkill? Maybe two drain and fills with the additional capacity of the cooler is enough. Hmm

Looks like a great kit but I'm trying to save where I can. Hence why I bought fluids from a mechanic instead of the dealer lol.

I'm trying to piece together a kit similar to GCS. I'll be saving $600 by piecing it together myself.

Trans coolers are simple. No reason the kits should cost what they cost.

In an effort to keep myself busy in light of recent events, I decided to do a full brake job complete with rotor replacements. My original rotors lasted 105k miles w/most of those running a lift & oversized rubber. Not bad.

So I went with OEM rotors again. Power Stop Z36 pads.

Can you please take a few closer pics?
Are they flat across the top or does it have a lip up on the inside?

I've got Go Rhino Dominator D6 Running Boards and my wife HATES them because they aren't flat.
