    Tastefully enhanced...
If you engage your parking brake before you start it, when you start it, the parking lights will be off u til you disengage your parking brake to move...best you can do...otherwise, you'll need an "all-off" switch wired in...

Do you want it to be permanent or temporary?

Phil Robertson of Duck Commander fame got rid of his Tundra because he couldn't turn these off. I think Willie wound up with it or Jase.

Because the bulb isn't functioning as parking lights with the lights off.
It is functioning as DRLs - DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS..
Daytime Running Lights: What Are They and Why You Need Them - Kelley Blue Book

If you want them permanently disabled, you can cut a wire under the dash to eliminate them.
If that interests you, let me know and I can tell you which one it is..

I'll go ahead and post it, I've got nothing else to do.
Do this at your own risk, I assume no liability.

There is a grey wire that goes from the J3 connector of the ECU to the J29 of the electronic flasher.
There may be more than one grey wire in one or both of these connectors, make sure you get the right pin number.
Cut it, put some electrical tape on it, and it should get rid of your DRLs.
Check your local and state laws and make sure they are not required to be functional.

    ECU
It will be in Pin 8

    Electronic flasher
It will be in pin 5

The LED DRL stuff in the diagram doesn't apply to your truck.
    ∗ 9 : w/ Daytime Running Light LED Type
∗10 : w/ Daytime Running Light Halogen Type - your truck

I missed they're a shared bulb, aren't there some vehicles that have a dedicated/separate drl bulb?

That bulb is part of the turn signal and parking light circuits..

If he had the white LED strip on the bottom of the headlight, I guess he could pull the DRL LED fuse.
