No - OEM is a double din same as the Kenwood going in. I just move the stock bracket to the Kenwood.

Stereo installed - the harnesses made it go together fairly easy. Nice to have Spotify and hands free calling for the kid.

First monsoon rain of the summmer - took the Sequoia out to the first wash crossing of Charouleau Gap - forgot what it was like to drive in some mud on street tires. Got to run in 4Lo a bit with the center diff locked - truck did awesome. Needs shocks and real tires and it would be ready for the trail.

No, but it was on every Toyota/Honda in the 90s and 2000s and that what my buddies and I started calling it.

Haven't had an issue with them and they provide gobs of lighting with a clear cutoff line so as not to blind other oncoming traffic. If I had to do it again these would still be my choice. And unless you are doing your own retrofit they provide exactly what is needed.

Decided to try some heat on the aged black plastic under the lift gate - looks like a new piece.

Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. It’s been 9 months and 3,000 miles since I got the Sequoia so it was due for maintenance - did an oil change on Saturday and when I unscrewed the oil filter there was an old filter gasket hanging between the filter and the housing… :facepalm:filter was able to be removed by hand but some how no oil leaked despite the double gasket. I need to buy a lottery ticket.

Last time I changed my oil I hand tightened the filter and I could keep turning it. Eventually the old o ring pinched and squeezed out the side, so I unscrewed the filter and removed the o ring. And I felt lucky...

Took the Sequoia on the longest run of the year - 150 miles to San Tan Valley and back for Mason’s football game. They lost 15-35 but played one of their better games of the season. Two games left.

Drive was great - I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it across the country.

Been a while since an update - my son got his license in January and has been using the Sequoia as his daily.

I did have a Evap code that was resolved with a new gas cap and the battery that was leaking and old finally gave out - otherwise no issues.

Found some used Michelins for a great price so he isn’t riding on dry rotted tires - have an alignment scheduled for March 4 so we will finally do the lower ball joints this weekend.

    Closing in on 250k miles.

The larger pitman arm puller works great for lbjs. Did you order new lower bolts as well?

I have new Toyota bolts and ball joints on the shelf. I think the fork I have for the Tundra CV might work if a few taps from a BFH doesn’t do the trick.

Aftermarket’s of unknown manufacturer and install date - they are definitely going in the trash.
