They are building one next to the new Costco near our house…as if the gas station lines weren’t long enough.

It’s a Costco thing. When the gas is ~60¢ / gallon cheaper, there will be lines at peak times

You kids are too young to remember this.
There were 2 shortages in the 1970s...
I started driving in 1978 just in time for the shortage of 1979.

There was a corner convenience store 100 yards down the street from us, and the queue for gas during the 79 shortage flowed in front of our house. People were so scared of someone cutting in line that they wouldn't let a 10' gap open between them and the car in front of them so my dad could get out of the driveway and go to work. They started selling gas in liters (when Jimmy Carter was trying to convert the country away from freedom units), and people thought they were getting a bargain until they found out how much gas it was(n't). Cats and dogs were living together... Mass Hysteria. I might be toeing the politics line, but in the past 4 years if OPEC had wanted to do it again, they could have. It'll be good to get back to energy independence.

Pretty sure my dad was already plotting how to abandon me in Canuckistan in 1980. It was 9 years early, but he's a planner like that.

The good old days of Jimmy Carter and even or odd license plates..:D

I'm doing well, I love not going to work.
I started PT last week, my daughter is my PT assistant, we just had lunch.

I still haven't passed my kidney stone, I think it is sitting in my bladder.
I've been pissing in a cup for 2 weeks trying to get the stone so I can take it to my urologist.
I felt it moving down over the weekend, but it didn't hurt.
I don't think it will hurt when it comes out either.
It's allegedly only 3MM, I've passed bigger ones out with minimal pain.
I guess it depends on how jagged it is..:eek2:
