Tundra engine recall - interesting news

I do not doubt the sentiment and facts. All that data was collected years and decades ago, comparing Toyota manufacturing tolerances vs the competition. The question is how relevant that information is today.

agreed , but tight tolerances are tight tolerances , line up wide that’s not going to change , seems to point to a manufacturing error to me , but again , just talking out my ass

You guys are confusing tolerances and clearances. Tight tolerances are always better if they can actually be achieved. Tight clearances can be good or bad depending on the situation.

You said “previously” and you said “was/is correct”. Both is the answer to your question.

 

Considering that all of his previous posts here were scrubbed, hard to know exactly how many times he said it was resolved previously.

Currently, he has very good source(s) if he is saying that there was still debris issues in Early November 2024. It was resolved at this point in time. Believe he said something about it in one of his videos.

The National Engineering Manager - Product Quality @ TMNA HQ was at TMMAL the first week of November 2024 for a QC meeting where this was discussed.

I can't believe that there are 2 people as smug as this that give a fuck about inside details of the 3rd gen tundra. It's like my ex wife of 32 years, enough already not Ryan. You couldn't even be bothered to change writing style, verbiage, word usage. For fucks sake, keep up your facade.

 

Picked it up with 37,385. Engine bay is detailed, exterior washed and engine is full of oil. No extra damage, tech even swapped over my catch can and BMS couplers. 10 out ofb10 process at Redlands Toyota with Cassandra

 

Good lawd, I for one couldn't care less if there are 2 Not Ryans here, I am appreciating a good source of information and I wouldn't want to scare them away from this forum. Seems the ex is giving ya some trouble again.
