Somehow happened to be at a HD with some clearance tags in the back sections. Got $110 off a new m18 compressor and $170 off another super charger with an 8.0 forge battery. I didn’t need either one but I’ll find a use for them! They had several of each. I only got one of each and passed on the details to a few friends.

I think that’s the ooooold one. No bluetooth? I have one tucked away somewhere. But it’s kinda “archaic”

it predates packout. So not compatible.

I usually quickly look at the two clearance section, and if something fancies and price right then it is coming home with me.

Went to HD to get my daughter’s bf a bday gift. I know his grandfather bought him a tool box of some sort. He’s going to college next year to pursue automotive engineering; he also does his own oil changes. I had our daughter tell him I’m cleaning out my tools, and plan on donating some things, but first wanted to know what he needs before I toss them. He said he’s in definite need of sockets.
Said fuck it. Found a M12 combo (drill and impact) with a 1.5a battery and charger for $119, plus a socket set ($35) and Shockwave drill bit set. I think he’s coming over this evening, and has no idea.

Nope, no BT. I use the aux cord connected to my phone for it. I want a BT one, but I can’t justify it as I don’t use it other than when I’m in the garage or detailing

Total cost, with tax was 165. Just didn’t want to give him a drill, and nothing to go with it.

I think he was more surprised at it. His grandfather had given him his old tool box (sentimental value..he’ll understand when he’s older) and an old corded drill. The kid has a good head on his shoulder, and treats my daughter like a princess. I’m ok with spending extra on those who ensure she comes first

A friend of mine who is ex-military and current LEO has a 17 year old daughter. I was visiting him when her boyfriend showed up to take her out. My friend tossed a 5.56 round at him and said "it moves alot faster after 10pm". The kid had his daughter home by 930pm. :)

Do you remember how often does the pack out go on sale? Or the buy X get Y off deal like now? I kinda spent a bit more than I thought on tools and wonder if picking this up later would be more expensive, I mean, could always wait for next year .....

So just the buff size? Would you say 15mm is better than 17mm due to easier to use?

I use a 15. 17 will cover more area quicker, but harder to control and you’ll want to be more mindful not to burn through the paint (I.e. leaving pad on an area too long, power set too high). The 15 will take a tad longer to do the same area, but is easier to control, easier to get into certain areas, and less chance of burning through the paint.

It’s so random. “Deal of the day” fluctuates a lot. Your best deals are towards the end of the year, or when a new model is out - but who’s gonna wait that long? Usually not me. When I want something, I usually want it now..especially if it’s for a project I need to do
