General Supercharger Thread

I set up one tune with every aip code deleted. There are both physical and electrical based codes. Because there us a 5 volt constant and the drivers communicate to the ecu you need the Hewitt to get the signal and voltage to other components.
I also forgot about the ecu sending out pulses between the pump and valves...

 

PSB 1 passenger bank, ECB-1 driver, on the gauge the ECB jumps from 7.5-22.5 just like the ECF-1 I just returned to them. They insist that means it is not calibrated, OK so why does HPT see it????

It says LM but it is the ECB.

 

Sniv is the Man!! Somehow the ECU "changed" it's OS. The solution was a new file based on a new read. Truck feels great on a traffic filled drive.

Whelp got the dreaded crank no start happening. I’ve been firing the rig up weekly to keep it charged etc no issues. We had a cold spell then some random misfires now no start. I’ve got a crank sensor coming, new plugs ( even though we replaced those and coilpacks recently) and we will see. I Just swapped in a new fpdm just incase.

That a common thing or something? I had a weird incident Super Bowl night where I hit the remote start and it coughed and then just kept cranking. Was weird. No codes and has been fine ever since.

 

From what I’ve been reading it’s a random common problem with equally random fixes lol

yeah we got cold here too which seem to kill my batteries, this one only lasted under 2 years. but i haven't got any weird starts or firings.
i just get a backfire here and there driving because of the larger exhaust lol

 

-10 degrees a few days in Maine and had zero issues starting.. “knock on wood.”

 

Just order the built engine now.

Not sure what the timeline will ultimately be, but I'm tracking to be at the longer end of the 1-2 month window. Just throwing that out there for your planning purposes. With the 6.8l stroker kit being out of stock it could be even longer for you.

 

Down the road. Redoing all the suspension this year. But update locating an oem unit difficult Now apparently backorder no eta found 1 of 3 available in the country in SoCal and buddy went to pick it up for me.

 

I can't remember. Did you have a core charge as well or were you keeping your existing for a future build/reman?

That's the 6L version, the choice is on the left, so first item/Yes are the choices, it's a weird system.

 

I bought another trans as a spare and I’ll send one in for core unless it’s a hassle than I’ll keep both

 

I may need a core to send in for a rebuild...been looking for a spent transmission.

 

One hell of an expensive "loaner program" but...

I have a 143k fully functional Torque Converter if a core before disassembly is needed.

Why exactly are you switching to a different ATF when installing a larger pan?

 

The thicker DexIII helps let the clutches grip harder...nuance is just a drain and refill more often/once a year...
