For those that applied the -2 degree AC. Did you find that your heat temp is now out of whack? Drove a couple hours yesterday and had to keep temp at 64 (usually 69). When I went above 64 it got hot. Like 80. There was no in between. Going to turn it off but anyone else see this?

those settings sounded interesting, but I didn’t mess with them. I drive cars until they die, and I was worried about burning out my compressor prematurely. that is a really expensive fix.

Interesting. I put mine at -2 & A/C worked great, but also noticed i have to turn heat higher to keep it warm, like 73 or 74. I usually run it at about 70 in all my vehicles.

Unsure of the latest on the list, but I would love to be added, or meet up with anyone in Phoenix, AZ area who has a Carista. Will pay in beer.

Just wanted to reply to my own dumb ass comment above. I ended up buying one of the odb units and checked what I had set previously. It’s was plus 2 degrees! Ugh

astrength - I think it’s worth getting one. There’s a lot in there besides customizations. You don’t need the EVO

Saw this yesterday, $48.99 for the EVO + $14.99 for one month of the app. Free shipping. Still seems a bit high for a one-time use, but I may pull the trigger. Does the EVO provide any useful functionality over the standard OBD scanner for our 3rd gen Tundras?

I used both and did not notice a difference. It tells you on the site how they compare. I think the biggest thing is EVO support for newer cars can be updated. Faster Bluetooth is bs

I don't see this feature listed, but one thing I would LOVE to change is if after shutting off the engine, before opening any doors to exit, the infotainment screen (carplay for me) and the audio stays on until a door is opened. Anybody know if this is an option?

One thing I love about the Tundra. Everything shuts off after engines is turned off. Nope never heard of anything to change this setting

The best part- even the engine shuts off when you touch a door after remote start ;)

Not an option with Carista. If you shut off the truck while it's still in gear, the radio will stay on for 10 minutes.

IS there a setting for seat heater to turn off when engine is shut off? I hate that if a passenger has heat seater on - they exit my truck then I turn off the truck- when I turn the truck back on the seat heater REMAINS on from the last setting. I find that really annoying - anyone??

Go to Carista website and punch in your model. It will list all customization options.

That seems like a good feature to me but to each his own.

Well after looking into this seat heater reset - it’s not an option to customize. I don’t agree but understand I guess why it’s set up that way BUT for the company Toyota is they are far behind competitors tech wise. My wife’s Hyundai has remote start with 4 options - Summer, Winter and 2 others that can be customized!! Blue link is the company that runs the remote access/programming. I wish Toyota would’ve consulted/ considered what the competition does. Hopeful it’s something that can be in an update

Live on a 150 acre farm and I don't use my seatbelt going 10 mph in the farm. I HATE THE SEAT BELT WARNING CHIME.... Guess I need to buy one and pay for the app.

Though you may think Toyota is behind, I look at those Hyundai features and wonder why anyone would want or need that, lol. It all comes down to personal preference, and its hard to check off everyones wish list. In the truck sector, pretty sure Hyundai is not a competitor. My wifes Honda acts the same as my truck when using the seat heater, it stays on and remains that way regardless of start/stop, which imo makes sense.

Annnd Toyotas have transmissions with Intelligence. Do I know what that means? Nope but it sounds cool and this tranny feels like one long gear. Hyundai have that?

You could just buckle the seatbelt behind your back.

but yeah, that chime is stupidly obnoxious

Anyone in the Phoenix area want to help a brother out? Also willing to pay shipping for someone’s unit elsewhere and pay it forward when I’m done turning off the annoying seatbelt chimes.

My local dealer did it for me for free and I didn't even buy the truck from them. All five positions - off. Also had them turn off the engine sounds.

i was looking for this option myself. i got quite used to it in my previous gmc sierra. the closest i've found is after parking, press the start/stop switch to kill the engine, then put it in park. you will still have to hit the start/stop switch again to fully turn everything off, but at least it's something.
