Cool, maybe the value of mine has gone up some then! ;)

But, if this is indeed true, so crazy they are stopping the sale of it just because the spring compressor isn't safe. For Pete's sake, just supply a different compressor! SMH

Just an FYI, I walked the production line today and they're building them with 3" lifts.

yeah, you can still get it factory installed. You cannot have it ordered and put on as a dealer installed item. That’s the issue.

I’m done waiting for it though. I’ll just get a Dobinsons IMS and hope it’s decent.

For those interested, Columbia Gorge Toyota (541) 296-2271, will sell you the TRD lift kit. I know because I bought it and returned it today as I was able to pick up a kit from my local dealer. They had it ready for me to pick up and offered to ship it, my local dealer had two and they sold me one and I was able to pick it up and they even helped me load it.

My local dealer said they would do it if I had my front struts assembled and brought to them. I’m going to take em to a local 4x4 specialty shop and have em put together

Who is your local dealer? The dealer that told me they could get said they would install it if I got one. They just can’t sell the two they have.

I posted the dealer that would sell you the kit. My local dealer had two, I bought one and the other is spoken for. If you want the kit, call the dealer I posted and they will ship it to you. I canceled my order after I found one 10 min down the street from me. Call your dealer and ask who has one in stock, and then call them and ask if they’ll sell you the kit and if they wont, ask them who has it in stock and keep repeating this until someone sells it to you. The dealer that sold me the kit wouldn’t install it, instead I called the dealer that installed the TRD performance tune and TRD intakes and that dealer said they’d work with me to get it installed. The issue is the front struts, just find a local 4x4 shop to assemble them and bring them the assembled struts and ask them to install the kit. A dealer on California told me the dealer 10 min down the street from me had two kits, but the dealer an hour from me said nobody had em in stock.

Will check them out. If I can find one before the IMS setup arrives, I might go that route.

After waiting nearly 9 months for the stop sale to lift, I decided to cancel my order today. If there were at least some direction or clarity for the future of the kit, I would've waited a little longer, but at this point we don't even know if the kit itself will change or cost more/less.

Instead, I took advantage of the holiday sale and ordered all the individual components (minus the shocks, struts, springs, rear spacer) from Toyota and will use them with the Fox 2.5 DSC setup with a comparable 3" lift. Total cost of all components came out to around $1200, which to me is worth it as those were the main reason I opted for the TRD kit to begin with.

I wasn't ever planning on going down the Fox 2.5 route, but I think I'll enjoy it.

I hope Toyota provides updates soon on the kit!

This is my plan when my TRD lift shocks need to be replaced. Keep all the surrounding lift components and upgrade the shocks.

x2 that was the most ideal and cost-effective plan. I was hoping when the time comes to replace the TRD kit 5100s, the 6112s come out.

On the bright side, I can confirm 100% that all other lift kit components are purchasable through Toyota. All same part #s except the hoses, silver axles, and knuckles attachments - those have a "B" instead of the zero.

Where did you get all of this for $1200? I bargain shopped and without the break hoses & UCA’s I am still at around $1450. I need to figure out how to shop better.

Same. Tired of waiting. Not sure why the status, if/when it will be available, what will change if anything, has to be such a big secret.

That’s why I resorted to having the dealer put 5100s on, to at least level her out. According to the dealership, that doesn’t void the warranty. She has a pretty good stance now and I saved about 2-3 grand in the process.

How likely will 24 Tacoma TRD rear coils work instead of using those rear spacers?
Found 3 part numbers that could potentially work.
No discusses these coils on TW.
They must be on that other forum.

For a Tundra? Why not just get ICON or Dobinsons triple rate coils?
That’s what I did vs the spacer.

I’d prefer some taller rear coils versus the spacers myself. I haven’t gone off road yet, but the spacers ride fine on road.

I’m aware of other coils just curious if the Tacoma rear coils would be an OEM option. Depends on their spring rates I suppose. LC250 guys are using stock 22 Tundra coils to achieve 2” of lift, just saying the TRD PN could cross reference.

Nice! So the WA dealer was willing to sell it? The Parts guys at the Gorge were awesome. They gave me a couple other dealers on the West Coast that shows them in stock. They mentioned Kelso and Tacoma WA both showing (1) in stock. As well as (1) in Coos Bay OR and 3 in Vegas and 1 in Reno.

    Coos Bay OR (1) 541 - 267 -3121

Las Vegas NV: David Wilson Toyota (1) Centennial Toyota (2)

    Reno NV (1) Dolan Toyota

    Tacoma WA (1) : Titus Will Toyota 253 - 475 - 4151

    Kelso WA (1) Dick Hannah Toyota 360 - 425 - 2720

Hopefully more people can get them now.

Yes they sold it to me, I posted the pic above showing it loaded in my truck. I was able to find a couple dealers that had it but only two who would actually sell it.

honestly, I had better luck sourcing the parts all myself and the cost was about the same. There is another guy on here that sourced all his parts at a fraction of the cost. He didn’t say where he got them.

I used Greico Toyota parts online. I say this, because (depending on where you live) the cost to ship the entire kit to me from Gorge Toyota they wanted $1300. + $2695 for the kit. No others would ship it.

as I speak I am having this setup installed, although I went with Dobinsons for shocks and springs. Not what you asked, but more so to help if you elect to source your own parts. Word of advice, they will not sell the front spring… at least not to me.

Any chance someone has a list of part numbers to try and build this yourself? Finding one available on the east coast seems impossible at the moment.
