To put an ink packet on their taillights, Cat, or wheel locks.

My idea is that you have an ink pack like the bank/store, which also activates a camera on that side for video proof when one of these areas is violated.

    Have the perps like

What's your creative idea on how to punish these nice folks who prey on sleeping and shopping Americans? Something has got to give.

If you have cat shields, that seems to solve 99.99% of the issue. Really haven't heard of folks on here having issues once the cat shields became readily available.

What would the ink packet in the tail light do? Are people stealing taillights now? If so, first I'm hearing of it.

Ford taillights are 1.2-2k. They come out with two quick 8mm bolts. They just had an article on a car website that 36 pairs were worth 93K or something. There is a lot of it going on.

What it does it mark the thief who just throws the item into the bushes when the cops roll up.

That’s cause Ford had the genius idea of putting their bsm sensors in the taillights. There’s already security hardware kits out to deter theft. While it’s annoying if I owned one I’d be getting a hard tonneau so they can’t access the tailgate panel to drop it. That, cat shields, and taillight anti theft hardware would probably deter most thieves. Could always purposefully round out some/all the tailgate panel bolts/screws as well. In the event you need to get inside the tailgate to access the latch it would be cheaper, albeit more annoying/time consuming to drill out/replace a couple or all bolts, but I can’t imagine thieves would be willing to go through the effort of drilling out the bolts.

Looking at the Toyota new lights, I can find them online all day for 300 ish or 100 even. I can't imagine being a Ford owner and coming out to my lights gone and a 2k bill for the trouble.

Yeah I mean for that much I’d probably just go aftermarket and look at relocating the bsm sensors
