Dasaita Android Head Unit

When i first installed mine, it did that, then i realized i forgot to connect in the entenna.

 

I’ve read through all 88 pages and I’m ready to get a an android 13, just a couple of quick questions. Buy direct or from Amazon (support from Dasaita)? Any big advantage with vivid launcher version.

 

I bought mine off Amazon but I also set-up an account with Dasaita for customer help

 

Whats the difference with the android 13 or the vivid ?

 

Vivid may have been the old system because I didn't see it as an option

 

The one on the top right is the android 13 and the bottom right is the vivid 13 which is more money then the android 13 so i dont think it would be the old system , these are the 4 options that come up when i put in my truck stats (year make and model)

 

Really on the fence on ordering this unit the vivid one in particular , every time i go to order i go down the rabbit hole checking reviews and see so many negative reviews, how are the ones u guys have holding up

 

My Android 13 is great so far.I installed it in August 2024

Did you order it from Amazon or from dasaita website

 

Initially i had some issues with balance and fade controls.

After several conversations/emails with Dasaita, they provided an update that corrected it.
Im running an aftermarket amp and not sure if that was the issue or not.

Now there appears to be two seperate fade/balance controls depending if you are aftermarke amp or factory
which i dont understand why, but the fade and balance works.

Not sure what others think, but if you do purchase and have issues, i would just send it back.
Remember, they are in China, so response time for questions/answers will be delayed.

 

Would you buy it again ? Or spend alittle more for a name brand

 

At the time only Amazon had them in stock plus I feel safer as a buyer getting it from Amazon for the return factor.

 

May have purchased the Joying or another Phoenix.

 

I cant fond a joying for the 2.5 gen and how did you like the phoenix i love the look but hear bad things about it and not crazy about touch screen buttons for hvac

 

I had one of the earlier versions that came out couple year ago, the PX6.
Everything worked as it should. I bought it used for $200 and didnt expect much
as it was an experiment for me. I hear the newest units are awesome.

My brother-in-law had the Phoenix and never had one single issue with his.

When i broke the screen, i purchased the Dasaita

 

The phoenix units are beautiful looking , same operating system as the dasaita? Like basically same radio just different looks and obv hvac controls integrated into the phx

 

Only thing i dont like is the screen. The glass is thin and fragile. Just wiping it off, if you press to hard, its over.

Yep - if you google the units and see the issues, a lot of folks will break the glass
upon install because they pushed to hard or the unit was twisted going in becasue of
cables behind not out of the way.

I was wiping off the finger prints and one was stubborn and i pressed to hard and "Crack"....
Pimp down !!!! Time for a new HU.....

Now i gotta start thinking about hu all over again , i was set on the dasaita but damn that phx looks good af

Im going to see how it goes with my phone as a hot spot first and go from there

How about mirroring the iphone to the screen can i watch netflix and stuff with it wirelessly mirrored to the hu

 

Was this the right adapter to use the factory gps instead of the dasaita one? U it comes in sunday trying to have everything here in time
