    Hi all,

I just purchased a used 2023 Tundra Platinum Hybrid that has AVS and Load Leveling Suspension. I am VERY new to all things truck related since this is my first truck. I was searching around the forum and google and it appears that having AVS and load leveling makes it a bit more difficult to change the suspension or install lift kits. So, my questions are as follows:

    1. Are there lift and/or leveling kits available for a 23 (looks like this is referred to as a gen 3) with AVS and load leveling? If so, can you anyone provide some recommendations or resources to look at?
    2. Does installing a lift and/or level kit void any warranties? I don't have much left on the bumper to bumper warranty anyway, so it is not a big deal regardless.
    3. Are there suspension upgrades that will make the ride "smoother"? I notice even with "Comfort" mode enabled, the ride can still be a bit bumpy but maybe that is just the difference with a truck V.S. a small SUV (my other car is a 25 Honda CR-V).
The main thing I am hoping to achieve is the ability to run larger, A/T tires and gain a little ground clearance. If anyone can help me out with information on tire sizing resources too, that would be great! I am not familiar with the sizing terminology or what is compatible with this truck at all.

    Thanks!

All of this has been discussed in great length. Search would help.

    1) there are. Mostly pre collar lifts that keeps avs and bags. Some say these make the side a bit smoother if you have bags as you hit the bump stops less. But typically these kits actually make the ride a bit more harsh.

    2) no. Unless they can show the lift caused the issues.

    3) air bags make the ride quite stiff. If you want a smoother ride there are lifts where you’ll have to remove the avs, bags or both.

I’ll be adding a Westcott lift with 35’s once my at3’s wear out. I have bags and avs.

Thank you for the reply! I really appreciate the information. I did initially try searching in the forum like I mentioned, but I wasn't finding exactly what I was looking for.

    1. Readylift
    2. Can. Check with your service advisor
    3. AVS is best

You can run 35" tires on stock wheels with a simple 1.75" strut spacer.

Depends what you want. How much of a lift? Are you willing to lose bags? Avs? How much are you willing to pay? Why do you want a lift? There is a lot to consider.

Thank you for the reply! You’ll have to help me out here a little bit because I’m extremely new to all of this. I know tires are measured with 3 numbers, so when you say 35” tires (I’m assuming outside diameter), how do I know from the 3 numbers if I am looking at “35s”? Second, does that strut spacer add any kind of extra stress to the truck? Third, is the strut spacer something only installed in the front and could I do it myself?

Also, are you able to share an exact link to the strut spacers you are talking about? I’ve looked at ready lift’s website before and I am overwhelmed by all of the options.

I don’t need a huge lift at all. I mainly wanted to run slightly larger A/T tires and possibly level the truck. I’m not looking to spend a ton, but if the cheaper options will lead to damage, then I will wait and get something more expensive.
