Previous homeowner left this gladiator hanging kit, so decided to mount it to my rack and put it to good use

So I was wondering, when y'all order from HD.com, do you guys opt to have it ship directly to you or to store?

I did a re-order of the tools yesterday and it was showing delivery for today, so happy self paid and waited, but now there was no shipping information and HD website CS said, that's just for reference and they are not liable since it was sent to third party vendor to fulfill the order....

Eh, what memo did I miss on this? Am I too naive to think they will hold themselves to that standard or am I barking up the wrong tree?

 

I've placed a few HD.com orders, most recent being the blower attachments. Ordered on Sunday, rcv'd from FedEx on Monday. It's usually 1 day delivery to my home.

 

I do store pick up. I can check stuff right there and return it if its no good.

 

Right, the torx set was sent via FedEx and came out of Dallas area (I am in Houston) so that's usually 1 day if not 2 if picked up too late.
But usually if they do end of day pickup in Dallas, I still get it the next day, though late but at least it is there.

I guess I am just comparing them to Amazon, and therefore, different standard. Oh well......

 

I don't recall seeing it apart of the buy more save more deal either.

 

I've done both pickup in store and delivery. Recently I ordered a plunge base for my router and it took ~5 days but that was stated when placing the order, and I just ordered a M12 rotary tool yesterday and it was already delivered today.

 

This I just grabbed right off the website, it states tomorrow delivery or to store between certain dates.
I mean, if you can't get the tomorrow delivery down to a science, then don't offer it or at least put a later date.
Putting a date out there and not able to make it just makes HD look bad, because customer is not gonna care if the vendor would fulfill but the fact that HD failed to delivered.

 

Sorry I was only referring to N12 tool purchases in general. The buy 3 get $200 off is only certain M12 tools. Insider is not one of them.

 

Hey, not poking you, I was just very flooded with information and lack of sleep didn't help, was just hoping I didn't miss another deal just because. I mean, the insider was $299 and would be some pretty savings if I missed it. All good.

I am not, I am comparing the shipping speed and ability to fulfill an order(s).

 

I do store pick up in NH or I have to pay MA sales tax bonus is the NH store is the closest one to me
Sometimes the order to store takes longer then the estimated home delivery

 

I like home delivery because typically faster BUT it is a little easier to hide it from the spouse when I do the store delivery!

So, it is finally moving from Dallas, and of course, it missed the EOD pickup so it is now delayed one more day.
Originally promised for 2/18, now it is arriving 2/20....whatever.
Oh, and the 2/21 is the inflator with two batteries and charger set from red tools.

 

@Squatting Pigeon failed due to cold air? I didn't know he operated during warm months.....

But back to the shipping issue, I have no issue if it was sent but delayed on the way, that part I know most have no hold of. Hell, I even had a package via USPS that went around the Eastern US for three weeks. The shipper was maybe six hours from me.....
My main grudge is that, HD failed to process the order in a timely manner and ship it out.

 

My name is Steve. I love good quality tools and Milwaukee tools are great quality. I am addicted to quality tools. I purchase them 2-3 times per week. I fail to see the problem here.

 

I do the same but to a store in OR (no sales tax) that’s about 1 mile from my office. Run over in my lunch break

 

Came home from work to find a HD store credit card on my humidor. She said she found it while cleaning out a desk drawer. No clue how old or how much $ is on it, but she said maybe 30-50 bucks. If so, there will likely be a new red tool photo soon.

 

Just found my new ski gloves
