Stay away from the cheap ones. From what I've read the cheapies have terrible beam scatter. I had it narrowed down to two choices, both quite spendy for light bulbs. This week I came across a deal here in the forum for the Philips X-treme Ultinon bulbs and jumped. I just got them installed, I'll check them out this evening.

A little of this and a little of that.

I bought the Hikari ones for my 2016 CM and they are frickin’ bright. Almost too bright but I’ve only had one person flash me so that’s good. Anyway, I can see a country mile with them. I highly recommend them.

Install wasn’t that bad either. Pretty easy.

I don't think so. Removing the grill lets you remove the panel below the headlights. The tricky part for me was figuring how the bottom latches on the grill released. If you want a pic I may have one somewhere. I got the Phillips ones. Expensive for sure, but they work well and I haven't been flashed at night.

    See fine print
You get what you pay for. Philips has no fans/moving parts unlike the cheap LED's that do. Do you think all LED's are created equal? Definitely not.

Bulb, wiring and control box. Everything is plug and play.

Yup. Worth it. Name brand bulb. Look at the reviews of the other brands.

Nope. Don't worry though, a 10mm socket and a trim tool (which you should have as a Tundra owner) and you can take the front of the Tundra apart in 10 minutes. These trucks are built like LEGOs.

I've had the Philips Ultinons for about 2 months now. They are definitely an improvement over stock and easy to install. I think the low beam pattern is pretty good on them. The high beam pattern has more noticeable scatter, but it's usable. I'm not too worried about the high beam scatter personally since I have additional LEDs cubes and bar if I need more light. I got them new on ebay for around $170, but it took over a week to get them. They shipped from Malaysia even though the seller said they'd come from NJ.

The 8th gen JDM Astar H4's are supposed to have in improved design and might be close to the Ultinons. They run around $120 and get good reviews on Amazon, assuming the reviews are legit. Some reviews mention quality control issues, though.

Gtr gen 3 leds from headlight revolution. Plug and play. Very bright with a very nice beam pattern.

Like @BlueBottle said, bulbs, heat sinks, control modules and even tie wraps for the cables. The only thing I bought separately was some outdoor double sided tape to mount the control modules.

The bulbs above are what I have. I think they are well worth the price. The warranty is outstanding so you won't eat the price if they fail on you.

I'm loving my 8th Gen JDM Astars. They are brighter than OEM and light color matches my Morimoto Fog Lights perfectly. Main thing for me is to have white light, my eyes see things so much clearer.

Did you need to add resistors to keep the lights from flickering or the fogs from coming on?

The bulbs come with everything needed for installation. Yes there is a ballast or resistor type device that plugs in.
