    New windshield wipers....just getting started
Returned from a late night drive in the rain and VERY disappointed in the smearing of the stock windshield wipers. They seem to be getting worse and the glare from the other headlights was blinding. Have cleaned the wipers and windshield to no help.

Was going to buy a set of new Bosch wipers, which I have liked in the past. However, I remember reading somewhere that the Tundra wipers are heated? Is this the case?

    Thoughts on the best ones?

    Much appreciated,
    Rhubarb

you know i have the same problem with the stock wiper blades as well when i drive mine. i would love to put better ones on because the stock ones do suck in the rain atleast for me.

Good to hear! I thought maybe it was just me. My rule of 35-years of driving....never buy cheap tires, brakes, or wipers.

I always thought it was just me because before my dad gave me my Tundra i would ask him if he had any problem he would say no but i guess he is used to driving like that lol. i will always get good tires, breaks and wipers. before i sold my versa to get my tundra i had rain-x wipers on it and they worked great, i might try that brand on my Tundra when i get a chance to buy some

Replaced mine this morning with Rain X blades. Cost me 44$ for both but are 1000% better than stock. Advance had to look them up, but they are a stock item. Had to take off part of the multi-adapter, but fit just fine. Took two minutes for the guy to install them.

26" and 22" is correct, but may have a sub number because the mounting bracket is different than a standard blade

I just called two dealers and they both said 24" passenger and 26" driver. But on line it shows 22" and 26". confusing

Not that I have noticed, I have used the brand Walmart sells before and it worked just fine, my store normally sells the rain x brand, winter formula, so that's where I get it when I need it

Buy it by the gallon jug, pour into your washer fluid tank, use it to apply and wash your windows at the same time

A little of this and a little of that.
It doesn’t rain here so I really don’t need wipers, when I replace them I will get the Rain X ones.

Sure you can. I actually learned that trick from cleaning ladies at a hotel. Some of them wax the glass in showers to prevent water spots and to aid in quicker cleaning. Applied to your windshield, or any window, the water beads up.

Currently have Bosch blades and spray on RainX. The faster you drive, the faster the water beads off the windshield. I'm happy with both applications.

I use RainX on my windshield and rarely have to use the wipers unless you are going less than 30 or so. I have used it for years and swear by it. Those who wax should try the rainx, it works.

It's been many , many years since I've used RainX on my windshield. I stopped because it made the wipers squeek across the windshield. It drove me :annoyed:. It was sold in a little bottle back then, I didn't even know you could buy it in gallon size.
With the number of people here recommending it, I assume it must not do this anymore?.?.

Disappointing to hear about the stock wiper blades as well. I am in need of some new ones very shortly and have always had good luck with factory replacements on my Hondas. I guess I will have to try some aftermarket ones for the Tundra.
