Okay first my 2005 4.7 V8 cut off on me in the middle of the highway. That was fine towan stayed right there so fine. Get it towed home and was told it may be the fuel pump. Changed the fuel pump, spark plugs, and fuel pump relay. Now the truck will start but the engine is kind of shaky and it shuts down after a minute or two. Please someone rescue me.

You "were told it may be the fuel pump"? By whom, and based on what info?

When was the last time the timing belt was changed, and did you verify it's in-time?

When the timing belt was done, did they route the crank position sensor wire correctly so the harness doesn't get nicked by belt/pulley, which is a common fuck-up ppl make? (that sensor is critical to fuel pump operation)

Was told by my friend who's a mechanic based on the fact that it would crank but not turn over so starter is good. Haven't changed or verified timing belt.

Timing belt needs to be done every 100k/10yrs. Toyota says 90k/9yr. If V8, that's a low-interference engine, you can grenade the engine if it snaps.

    So I ask again:

When was the last time the timing belt was done?

    Have you verified timing?

Have you checked the routing of the crank position wire to ensure it's routed correctly?

Asking these questions for a very specific reason. High likelihood the fuel pump wasn't the problem.

If the engine is misfiring. There's a code.

get a scanner tool and see what pops up.

this "shoot in the dark" bullshit gets old

A refurbished engine was put in by a Toyota dealership about a year and a half ago so I'm assuming that was the last time.

You know what they say about when you assume? Is there any documentation?
