    ahhh gotcha thank yall!
Ok I can probably just do that. Just thought it was strange as I never saw anyone mention anything about the ABS lines. Everything is always telling you to extend the brakes and I get to putting it all back and am scratching my head why that line is so short it won’t connect

So I did a 2 inch coil over on my 2024 limited non trd and a 1 inch dobbinsons rear spring to raise it up a bit and I’m way to busy for projects so I had a shop near me do the install. The shop owner said the rear shock is maxed out so the coil won’t even be doing any work and he recommends for me to pick up some new rear shocks … does this sound right ? This is the first truck I’ve personally owned and I did reasearch here and what I saw seemed that the rear would be fine with just the rear spring. Do yall think I should get rear shocks too? Thanks for any help

Jack the truck up from the rear hitch and measure the down travel. You should have at least 2" of droop for the shocks to be ok.

Here is my plan after coming back to the 3rd gen Tundra from the Land Cruiser 200 Heritage world. I’d like to go OEM plus on a 25 1794 Edition Hybrid TRD Off road. I plan on going with the TRD Pro suspension front and rear. For the rear I plan on using a longer Dobinson spring to get rid of the TRD Pro squat and to keep some rake from a diamondback HD and bed rack.

Do I need the TRD Pro UCAs for the front?
For the rear do I need the drkdss bracket if I keep it around 2 inches of lift?

That truck was shared a while back by Camburg when they sorta cared about the 3rd gens. lol

That truck was also on sale for close to like $100K some time ago, not sure if it sold though. Likely end up being a one-off kit, but looks like factory pivots anyway so there isn't much to gain travel wise. Looks cool though.

    Hi Eric

You'll most likely want 2" springs in the back. You'd have to measure the hub to fender to see where it is now compared to stock.

Ok I’ll just take ur word for it. I already have the 2 inch rear springs waiting to be installed. I was just debating if I should install them or not since I didn’t get as much front lift as I had expected since I have the hybrid tundra. And It already has a pretty good lean to the front with the rough country 3.5inch parts still installed
    I appreciate the help

OK. Yeah, you won't know until you compare the rear springs, or call RC and ask them what the springs are and how to identify them.

Yeah, Hybrids sit 1" less than the regular models up front, so you'll have to add preload to the IMS to get more lift out of it.

right on yea I just posted how it sits with the rough country parts still installed. I know the shocks are rated for 0-3.5” and honestly I’m getting conflicting numbers even from rough country some say 1” spring others say 1.5” I’m not really looking to add any preload to the front because I wanna maintain all the travel the shock has so I’m ok with not as much lift in front

OK. It does look a bit tall in the back, like they're 3" or something. But visuals can be deceiving, especially with a smaller/stock sized tire.

Stock rear heights varied by model, but they're usually 23.5-24", so you can check where you're at to see how much taller it is.

And if the front didn't lift too much, you could find a set of stock rear coils, or just go with 1" rear lift if you really want to bring it down.

does it matter that the shocks have a rating of 0-3.5inch or does the lift mainly go from the spring height? I appreciate all the help I’m a bit dumb with all of this stuff hence the bad decision on my part to buy the 3.5” rough country kit at first lol

Rear lift comes from spring height.

A shock that says 0-3.5" means it will work with any lift height in that range.

ok I should be swapping them out this weekend. I’ll keep you updated with photos of the difference in spring size. Think it’s a 1.5” or 2” spring that is non progressive unlike the dobinsons so a bit more stiff because my kdss bracket is damn near perfect for my rear trac bar

hate to go off photos but rough country isn’t giving me a straight answer but seems to be the same spring in both. Well at least it’s the same type of dampening used with the springs so I’m just gonna swap for the 2in dobinsons. Thank you soo much for all the help this has been a complete disaster for me so I truly appreciate it

I'm in the exact same position with my sport. I'm considering doing the Westcott designs pre collar lift kit for the Front only but open to other options.

Right on, seems like the most companies have moved on from making stuff for the Tundra to now focusing on the Tacoma.
For example, amongst other many other things, I see King no offers front swaybar end links for the Taco and Landcruiser but not for the Tundra.

Yup. There's far more money to be made from the more popular mid-sized truck. Get ready for the 4Runner wave to bump us to the back of the line again. lol

@crikeymike finally was able to get a straight answer from rough country it’s a 3 inch lift spring in the back so I think the dobinsons should sit just right. I’ll send pictures once I get the other spring out to verify

Same. 2024 Sport. Only will go off road a few times a year, 98% of the rest is pavement, snow, rain, etc. Just want a little more clearance, and better look. After looking and looking, I'm leaning towards RC 1.75" spacer, but started looking around RC M1s, Eibach Stage 1 or 2, etc., and Bilstein 5100s, but it all seems overkill for my application/use?

Fixing to drop off my Tundy at Yota for install of the Fox 2.5, Dobinson 2” rear springs ( C59-843VR) with Dobinson rear sway bar links and Icon upper control arms. Probably add some preload to the front coilovers.

    Pretty stoked!

Small update. Brake lines might be a little too short. They are gonna leave em lose for now.

Waiting on Yotamafia to get the longer lines out to me.

front should be done and aligned tomorrow.

I’ll post some pics tomorrow. Initially I had some rake. Due to a 1” spacer in the rear spring cup.

I guess it would work out great for anyone that tows or has a lot of gear in the rear.

I had them remove, and it’s now level. Rides great. Had to play with the DSC settings a bit.

They were able to have the sway bar tuck underneath the TRD skid plate also.

15k miles with a thousand plus being on dirt and still very happy with the setup. Icons still aren't the plushest on the small stuff but it's worth the trade off for the higher speeds and big bump compliance.

No front sway bar and with the digressive 3.0" shocks, it has less body roll than stock with the sway bar. I think the next project will be grinding down the steering stops a bit as the turning radius is quite poor with the stops engaging so early due to misalignment.
