Few additions. Need to find a bolt gun host for my 308 can. Trying to figure out if the Larue siete is “worth it” over going with a rem700 tactical

I don't know if it was the air or she wanted to show off after being locked away for awhile, yesterday the Maxim 9 was being REAL quiet. Nothing but action noise with some nothing special rounds.

For anyone on the fence about getting into the silencer game, this entire setup (tx22 pistol, silencer, tax stamp, & optic) was under $900. It's quiet, fun as hell, and ammo is 6 cents a round.

Well, finally got approved. Applied 11/15/24. Is that a long wait? Seems like it to me :p

Wonder why it varies so much if everyone applying has a clean past?

Yea, doesn't make a ton of sense. 6-month guy should have sailed right through in a few days with his background.

I decided to give capitol armory a try. I ordered the suppressor on 1/1 and had them send me a fingerprint card. I sent the card back and certified the form 4 on 1/14 and it was approved 42 hours later. The holdup now has been the CLEO notification. For some reason my Cleo has not received the letter yet so I've been waiting for that step for over 12 days now and then it will be an additional 7 days after that gets delivered.

I didn't do the CLEO notification unless my FFL took care of that part

Yeah I believe it's part of the FFL/SOT process. I don't know why capitol armory waits to do that in the last step though. It's adding a ton of time to the process. Hard to complain though as it hasn't even been a month from the time I ordered yet and they used to take over a year for some people.

Yeah your wait time is hardly a blip on the calendar. I applied on 11/15 and got approved yesterday. My FFL told me they've seen a plethora of approvals recently - wonder why :monocle::p

    That doesn't make any sense

Cleo notification is done automatically through the eforms form 4 as it's being submitted

Sounds more like a made up delay on their part for whatever reason

Yeah I checked with my FFL after I saw Travis post that and he said I'm good to go and didn't need to do anything. We did everything online (fingerprint, picture, and submission). I would think that automatically sends intent to purchase the stamp to the CLEO which is the state prosecuting attorney.

That was my take on it also after some research. But I don't know enough to definitely say.

I have an FFL and submit form 4s regularly...its done automatically during the process within eforms...however because Capitol Armory has some sort of variance that also allows them to mail your can after approval of the form 4....they may have some wild difference

Put approx 200 rounds through the Lazarus 6 and it's pretty damn awesome. My buddy was shooting an SBR poppin off 9mm rounds with a Wolfman on it. The loudness was about the same and I was shooting .223. At the end of the day, he decided he wanted one.

Had some issues with the clarity of the magnifier and even after adjusting the diopter still had a blurry reticle. I've reached out to Eotech to see what they say.

We tried to go out with a little bang, but the Tannerite was old and moisture had gotten to it :(

For the blurry reticle, try turning down the brightness to where the target is more easily focused. Blurry reticle is part of the nature of the eotech beast, actually one way to tell if one is real or fake as the knockoffs usually have a crisp clear reticle.

Yeah we played around with the brightness a lot. Eotech has it and they are going to repair or replace it.

Suppressor is at my FFL just waiting for the approval, they let me bring my CQBR in to make sure it would fit and she does!! I've attached a picture of the muzzle device to show why I was concerned.

the NFA subreddit used to have a spreadsheet (they might still have it, just haven’t been on there in years) where all members could add their stamp application and approval date. There was thousands of entries and time was all over the place. Guys with already 10 stamps in the bag would end up waiting double the time as someone who applied on the same day as them. Same form, both on trusts.

I remember reading a long time ago that we are divided up to different agents based on region. Not sure how true it was though.

Yeah, my first took forever...which is why I never bothered to get another.

Might have to look at a dedicated 9mm can. Usually just cange the adapter and put a 9mm end cap on the Obdisian45.

I only have 3 stamps and they were all done years ago.

    form 4 for a sandman-s was 11 months
Form 4 for a wolfman was 9 months
Form 1 efile for my ar sbr lower was 3 weeks
    All done as trust

The short wait times right now make me want to pick up another can.
