OEM Remote Tailgate Lock Part # Confusion

    I found long wheel base and extra long wheel base part #s. Did I miss anything else? Which is it for my 2021 Crewmax (5.5’ bed)?

    How many length SKUs exist for the Tundra? Guessing extended cab (6.5’ bed) and crewmax (5.5’) are the same? Then there’s the single cab (6.5’)? Is there an extended cab (8’). 3 SKUs?

    Are you referring to the remote tailgate lock or the actual tailgate lock?
    There is no single cab Gen 2.5 Tundra.

    If it is the remote tailgate lock, a DC and CM will use the same.
    The 8' bed will work on any Tundra, you'd just bunch up the extra wiring under the truck.

    Looks like Sparks has long and extra long.,
    I'd say the extra is for an 8" bed.
    The crewmax and double cab have the same chassis length.

    I'm using a Pop & Lock on my 2014.
    They are better made now than when I bought mine but I've had no problems with it.
    Better price than OEM.

    I think I bought mine from etrailer, it looks to be plug and play these days.
    Better price than Amazon and it looks like they have free shipping.

    To be completely honest - I don’t remember having to tie up much if any extra wiring at all. My memory could be off tho.
