    Hello fellow Texans!

I am looking for a good Toyota mechanic in the SA, Austin or surrounding area. Having some electrical issues and am trying to avoid the dealership.

    Thanks!

Would prefer San Antonio but either would be okay. I am in New Braunfels.

I think the place is called Hill Country Yota Works there in the NB area. @mynameisbrandin over at 4LoFab would know for sure.

I’m guessing they couldn’t get you figured out? What’s your electrical issues?

I have used these Yota specialist in north austin - they are Toyota and LC Certified specialist.
    Bearden Automotive
    12402 Technology Blvd · (512) 336-7010

In addition like SA - Austin has a handful of Auto electrical specialists (not brand specific).

Keep in mind - auto electrical can be pricey due to the amount of testing they have to do (time).

So what is the problem you are having again?

I recently noticed that when I use my turn signals (while the headlights are off) my cab lights blink with the turn signals. The backlighting on pretty much everything in the cab. All the switches and buttons around the AC and center console. I have had LED bulbs installed for all my lighting for year with out issue. When incandescent bulbs are installed in the brake light spot on the taillights the cab back lighting turns off completely and it does not flash with the turn signals. Seems to only be the rear brake light build that is causing the issue. I have tried changing the LED build to a different brand with the same issue.

I have a 2014 with OEM LED headlights installed with a Headlight Revolution wiring harness. Have had that installed for the last 4 years with out issue.I have checked the fuses and what wiring I can currently see.

I do have rats chewing up the foam insulation around the engine and I am actively trying to deal with that issue also. They got under my intake manifold and decided to use that as there eating/shitting area. Need to remove the intake manifold to clean it out, but that's a different issue for another day. No nest seen from my little inspection camera. although its not the best.

I think your trucks wiring is A-OK. And suspect the LED turn signal bulbs are the issue. As a test - try replacing both with normal bulbs and see what happens.
