Rear Window Cable Diagram

Hello again everyone! Finally got my rear window regulator assembly today and I'm looking for the cable diagram. The best I can find is attached, but the cable that runs from the right side of the motor (while installed) seems too short to hook into anything that will move. I'm THINKING I may need to hook it up, roll it down to create some slack, just didn't want to mess anything up.

I don't have a good reference when I took it out because the cabling was all frayed and snapped in places as the cables got all chewed up. So besides the wheel inside the motor, I have another perfectly good rear window motor. Just looking to see where the cable on the right goes.

 

I got it. Just had to access the cable inside the motor. It was bunched up. That's the second time I've gotten one of these things bunched up. No bueno!

 

Realize you figured it out but since I had a pic of mine when originally installed, I'd add it in case others run across this thread and need to know.

 

I think I need to hand feed the motor and get all the slack out. One of the cables is toast, these things are so damn finicky.

 

Yes they are and made time when it was uncovered to do as much as I felt need to be done so as not to have to uncover that sucker again. Of course I'm probably jinxed now for saying that.

 

As soon as I tried to engage the motor to get it to release the extra slack for that portion, it bound up and jacked up the cable. I'm just going to screw the bracket together and not worry about it. I never really used that function anyway when I had my 2018, so appreciate it.
