You could make your own tap from a bolt like this, But I'd add a fat washer and nut to the back side of that thing now regardless... kind of important.
But that's just me, I've said stupid shit before, take it or leave it

i’d have had much more confidence if you’d have asked last week, but i tried to chase the threads in a lugnut on the titan, and just made things worse, so i’m a little gun shy about offering any advice. But i was tapping a blind hole.

Get a thread chasing set, way less chance of screwing it up than using a tap.

Just want to give y’all an appreciation post. 1GT forum is the only forum with activity with substance that answers questions and problem solves and doesn’t post mod only updates. Y’all can’t be replaced.

Alternatively, use a longer bolt and install a nut on the bottom/outside.

I can't even thread it in more than 1-2 threads. I could probably force it but that seems like a bad idea.

I'm a recovering mangler. It's hard to resist the urge.

Drill the hole out so it slides through.

But thread restorer kit would be best if only a thread or two is damaged.

To look like a skeleton? Haha

IDK, I was just looking into it and I read about it being from a plant only based diet.

I’ve never known anyone to look that bad on a plant diet.

@BroHon knows this stuff. What say you, sir? Yeah or nay?

Sierra made the best games back then. Between LSL, Kings Quest, Police Quest, Space Quest, I blew hours upon hours on the computer in my younger years.

You should have two things in your tool set: tap & die set, and a basic thread gauge. One will tell you what threading a bolt or nut has. The other will let you tape a fresh hole (or re-tap a hole) to that same thread.

I would recommend @Festerw first, the. @KNABORES if failed. I prefer trying to clean threads first but I’ve been known to go in and just rethread shit. If you can clean out, always choose that. Alternately, don’t think it’s possible here, but if you have access to the back side of the hole, you can use the source bolt, and thread in from the back side. The bolt will use the clean threads on the back side, and clean out the mangled threads toward the front of the hole.

    Glory hole?

Anyone have any expierience with the HF badlands offroad jack? Plastic wheels have me concerned…

but i can drag a normal jack over gravel without worry. Probably just get a rapid pump 3 ton.

anyone ever seen anyone use a 12v air pump to run a air/hydraulic bottle jack?

I'm not watching the game, never do (I do watch the commercials though). show me a picture?

My wife dropped a ton of weight, and got weak, lost muscle mass/back hurt, was pale, her teeth hurt, sore gums, no energy. She did look a bit gaunt yes.
Added meat and salt back, felt better in a few months, took a year to fully recover.

If the steel market didn't get flipped on its head every couple of years that would be great. Hopefully this time domestic production will ramp up more quickly, and controls are put into place to prevent "dumping" from Mexico and China once things level off.

All that being said, I'd suck a mile of dicks today if that means in 3 years we have a surplus of high quality domestic steel at affordable prices.

Man, I loved the games from that era. Kings Quest, Space Quest, the Discworld ones. Gonna have to fire up Steam and see if I can find some old Adventure games.

25% tariffs on steel and aluminum imports going into effect. Same thing happened in 2018, and then there was the 2020's +40% pricing for a while

Nothing to worry about. Mostly an annoyance to me while all the mills/suppliers figure their shit out. Pricing for materials will be really volatile for a while and I can expect to pay a different price every time I buy material.

It also means the end user will pay more for whatever steel product they are buying.

    Also, you good?
