Well that's good to know. I did order through my local dealer so I can probably just get one swapped out. But which is the "correct" situation? Aligned with the low beam bottom edge or otherwise?

This could be probably a bad batch of headlights because I been talking with another member @jwm1986 in the last few weeks and same problem never heard about this issue before until the end of 2024

    IMG_0558.png IMG_0559.png IMG_0560.png

To me if we take this pictures as a reference the driver side high beam is too high but I’ll try to take some night pictures of mine so you guys can compare.

Ok guys @ff4life4 @jwm1986 @Banichi, my driveway isn’t leveled but this picture is how the headlights hotspots should be leveled for both Low and High Beam

Finally looking to do the swap. Does anybody have any experience with lights other than Toyota? Truck is a 2018 SR5. @iHacker - is the harness still $100? What's the process to order one. Thanks.

    Hello,

New member, I'd like to buy the adaptor harness with the dimming feature. I have a 2015 Tundra SR5 with amber running lights. Ordered the LED Pro headlights at my local dealership.

Sorry to ask a question that's answered already, but how do I buy the harness from ihacker? I'd rather give them the money for all the thought they've put into making it and helping others.

Just finished installing the 2018+ led headlights with the Ihacker harness. Seem to be having the same issue as a couple of others. Leveled lights on low beam. When switching to high beams, the driver side is much higher. See Photos. Did anyone find a fix for this?IMG_3001.png IMG_3002.png

Today I messaged the dealer back about trying a left side rma since the right had little effect overall. They are not local to me unfortunately so I have to ship them back and await the return. I tend to agree with @iHacker saying it looks like the left may be high after staring at his photos a bit next to mine.

The harnesses he made are great at least and excellent customer service as well!

My thoughts are opposite of that. Based on his photos it appears to me that the top of the cutoff on his lights between low and high beam is about 2 feet higher. That would more match my drivers side light. I asked him which of my lights he thought was defective by he never replied. Thats my issue, I dont know which light to replace at this point.

Both low beam look on spot, I indicate you yesterday that in my opinion passenger side seems to be the bad one since the high beam hot spot is at the same height of the low beam and that’s why it looks weird.

From what I heard from Toyota they both are leveled as a whole thing so there’s no way to level them independently. So might be a manufacturing error and you have to request a replacement under warranty.

I must of missed that you indicated the passenger light is likely the bad one. Thats all I was looking for was confirmation which one to ask for a replacement from the dealer. Thanks.

Yes that’s a manufacturing issue since they broke the level gears or maybe just leveled them incorrectly from the beginning

jwm1986 said he got a replacement for his passenger side but it didn’t make much of a difference. I hope I don't have the same luck when I get my replacement.

Sounds like is a big batch of headlights that needs an extensive revision, most parts ordered from dealerships are shipped from the same Regional Toyota parts distribution center and that explains this issue lately.

I’m honestly a bit underwhelmed by the output of the OEM LED headlight assemblies. They do look amazing mounted haha.

The stock halogens on my 2017 Tacoma had better output in my opinion. Especially with an H9 bulb conversion in the low beam.

Questions for you guys. I am DMing with iHacker also but I'm perplexed.

2015 1794 here. Installed brand new OEM TRD pro headlights and iHacker harness. This is what happens:

When DRLs are on only - both led DRL are lit up and passenger has a small light on inside and the drivers doesn't.

When you turn the lights on the drivers basically goes out and the passenger DRL goes off and the low light on

No brights work on either side.

I've changed the battery out, new battery terminals (old batt and corroded terminals). Checked all fuses.

If I put the halogens back in the work fine. I'm dumbfounded. Any ideas?
