$125 to have a doctor fill out a form and get his receptionist to fax it to work so I could get paid for the time I was off after I had surgery. What a scam.

Had to ask twice for my receipt so I can see if work will reimburse me.

 

It's only a problem if you pee in the sink..
But there are times it happens..

 

I'm going thru this BS.
My work has 2 insurance companies; 1 does health and short-term disability and one does FMLA and long-term disability.

I have to send each their own separate form when I go on disability.
The doctor's office outsources these forms, so I'm charged $40 for each form.
So far I'm out $80.
Every month or so I'm allegedly supposed to send an STD continuance form to each of them.
So it's $80 a shot, I might be off for 7 months..

Then to add to this rant, the doctor's office also outsources medical billing.
I called them about my first bill and asked line by line what am I being charged for.
Every question I asked she told me she would have to check with the doctor's office.
I called the doc' office, they told me to call the billing people.

We've had these issues with almost every medical office in the last few years...

 

You have to fill out a form to continue your STD's? And pay for the privilege?
Don't most people want to get rid of those as quickly as possible?

 

The worst part is that the doctor fills out the form and hands it to the receptionist. The receptionist will not give you your form with your own personal medical info on it until you've paid them.

 

It was only a matter of minutes before this showed up.
I should have known better with y'all..

Yes.
I send the outsourced paper fillers the forms, then they send me an invoice telling me as soon as I pay them, they will process it.
It's like holding my medical forms for ransom..

I need them processed to start getting my short-term disability payments..

 

I would've done the same thing..

 

Dentists are the worst at billing. Even when I pay my co-pay when I leave. 10 days later I get a bill for payment not received. I keep all copies of my receipts and have to call them afterwards. Also tried changing dentists due to unscrupulous processes and the next guy does the same f'ing thing. Are they really that far in debt that they have practice double billing?

Guidance on mat cleaning... Not sure if I need it, but I'll take any suggestions. As everything is melting right now my mats are going to look like this for a while. Both were cleaned in the last couple of days.

My wife is in medical coding. I had no idea what that meant. Last year.... 22 weeks pregnant bowl obstruction - maxed out of pocket on her premium. 39 weeks pregnant - My heart needs scratched from the inside... - maxed my out of pocket. 40 weeks pregnant - my son is born - max out the new out of pocket number. 4 weeks post birth - my medical resets (who's fucking resets in October?!?!?) and then I start over paying towards deductible for all my follow ups..

Every single bill, minus one has been billed wrong.

Now I know what she does for work LOL. and she is helping me/us not just pay the bills and spend more than we are supposed to. Its insane how bad these companies try to fuck us over!

I can't complain about my medical insurance, it's been a godsend my entire career.
But resets in October?
That is odd...
