We are watching an old series on Netflix, new to us. “Six feet under”, where someone (or two) dies at the beginning of the show. Most of the people that died are younger than us….

My brother and I left the Fort at 6 A.M. and got to Le Claire Iowa at 7:45 PM. I guess this is where the American Pickers guys came from.

On our way to southeastern Ohio for a funeral. My Uncle, he had been struggling for a while.

Whichever genius built my house put a bathtub in the master bath that's bigger than the water heater. So, when my wife wants a bath, like she did tonight, I turn it up to max temperature. Went down after she was done and the stupid safety valve was pissing all over the floor.

After listening to Marc Andreesen on Lex Fridman, I’ve been pondering this topic:

Preference Falsification

I never heard it explained/said that way before.

Now that I have, my brain is on fire.

I’m looking at the world with a new clarity.

Those 2 words explain so much of what I/we encounter every day.


People are forced to falsify their preferences to conform with social/public pressures. (insert USAID)

Every conversation and interaction have one of the parties falsely stating/supporting a preference.

Most folks are so programmed, the preference is now permanently skewed and has become a new(false) reality.


I, like many of you, tend not to suffer from it as much as the next guy, as I/we are quite vocal & free speaking with our preferences.

<Hence, I have been fired twice!>



Example: Climate change.

We know it’s fake.

It’s been fake since its inception.

It’s simply been a money grab/gov power takeover.

EVERY data set points to the Earth simply doing its thing.

But… certain folks must/have to believe it - because the ramification is getting fired or cast out of social circles.



I considered using the “gender” issue as the example, but I’m doing my best to stay within the foul lines.

Or “diversity is our strength”.

Or Net-Zero carbon bullshit.

Or guys that wear dress shoes with white soles.



Multiple topics/issues are racing thru my brain.

Now when I listen to folks, it feels like I have bullshit filters on my ears.
