Amazon overlays are only held on by double sided tape. easy to peel back off it needed. but i dont see it happening as the muted black is way better than the gloss black from the factory.

I used to build cameras for pipe inspection robots. Always had to purge them with nitrogen after we repaired them to keep them from fogging up (or gathering condensation). Of course, they had small air valves that assisted with that process. So I guess I’m just saying this may be condensation from the air when you cracked it open. Not necessarily a leak.

That makes sense. Although I did the swap indoors where the humidity is pretty low. I guess ANY moisture in the air will condense eventually though. I've sent two emails to Diode Dynamics with no response. @Diode Dynamics: where ya at on this???

I also used the overlay from JDM car. Didn’t have to take the center console apart and I can remove and replace if needed.

I already grabbed them. I stopped by and said I was Eddie from Cali and they handed them over. I’ll let you know how the install goes.

It sounds pretty good, for sure louder than stock when you get all over it, but not bad and no drone. City driving you can hear it in the cab pretty good. Highway travel sounds like stock in the cab. From a dead stop inside, it's not loud to me. Idle sounds pretty good too. I don't have a video, but DD has one on youtube as well as the install.

Mines a hybrid as well, I put the TRD (K&N) air filters in as well. Seems like I have a little more power and kicks into hybrid more often, but it's warmer today too, so that could be a factor.

Why do all aftermarket exhausts sound similar to a honda with a hole in the muffler, a weirdly pitched drone noise? Sorry, they just don't have that mean, deep growling sound like I would expect on a truck. My son has an aftermarket exhaust on his Sierra and it sounds way better, something like this: https://youtube.com/shorts/vCPepyKZWpk?si=6nb-B_UkmMvoaVJT
I like this to sound too:
    https://youtube.com/shorts/U6H4c20QXuQ?si=Ledlxbjc6ImT0E05

Perhaps it a V8 vs V6 thing, dont know much about exhaust systems.

The 2nd-2.5 gen crowd loves the DD exhaust. It's universally considered the best option. It's widely accepted that the DD exhaust yields power gains. Curious if that's the case with the 22+ where it is not NA.

3inch dobinsons ims struts w/Rough Country 1.5inch spring/M1 shocks in the rear— Icon Uca — Hostile maniac 20inch w/general grabber atx tires — Perry parts front bumps - alpharex luxx headlights— swapped many parts with trd body components— race off-road trd grill etc
I like it but feel like I did allot of harm with my original lift kit so I’m just swapping out damaged parts tbh. But as far as ride. It’s tons better than stock. I blame allot of my rough ride I get is from my e rated tires. Because for me I love the ims set up and will definitely upgrade eventually when these give out

This. You can't make a v6 sound like an v8.

    Factory installed self-destruct device :D
Some prefer form over function, hence the prevalence of silicone, er, I mean aftermarket bolt ons. :D

Do you happen to have a scan of the dash speaker locations? Looking to get some speaker pods printed for the dash with some tilt on them. Would be super grateful if you were willing to share.

I am picking up my 25 Platinum soon and want to do the same tire on 20” stock as you. How has it been so far? Any issues or rubbing? Good on snow and wet conditions?

I have the next size down and have about 1500 miles on mine. They have done well in the rain and snow for me.

Installed Afe tow hook. Plastic Trd skid plate didn’t have enough adjustment so I trimmed it with Tin snips. It has fibres in it that you can see when you cut it.

I am looking into this exact amp/dsp, but was not sure from the website if it bypassed the factory amp, or if it just acted as a preamp? Is there a way to make adjustments to this version of this amp? I also didn't see that on the website.

Any install tips? I had to abort my install attempt last week. I did not have access to a lift and couldn’t manage to get the threads started on the AFE hooks.
