    I'll admit this...they look great.

but as a brand...I'll agree with you.

    there ain't much there.

the range....say you drive 200 miles?

    where are you charging?

    EVGO? good luck with that.

not but a handful of applicable Tesla chargers around that will accept non-tesla cars.

this idea/issue goes for ALL EV's....if you drive a non-Tesla, charging has got to be top of mind.

    For sure.
One of the many reasons I'll probably only drive a Tesla EV.
Rivian will be a possibility after many more years of reliability

I'd say the Lucid was probably purchased for the looks. They're styling was leagues ahead of the previous model Y, and could be argued against the X.

Now the Y looks an awful lot like that Lucid.

Anyone have experience with high mileage Teslas? Toying with the idea of a high mileage Model S for fun. Have home charge capabilities and commute about 50 miles 3 days a week.

    Ins renew:

    Progressive

'20 Tundra $129/mth (highlander & 4R are about the same as this)

    '24 Tesla MXp $297.83/mth

and GEICO was about to charge me 50% more than that.

This is just about the fuel bill for one of our 3UR-FE vehicles every month at 15-18k miles per year.

My monthly insurance is $140 total.

The message to me is: don't drive a Tesla for the gas savings.

    'zactly.

    and if you supercharge....you ain't savin' diddly-skwat.

for comparison...my buddy (who I got a Tesla referral) traded in his Camry for a MYp.

it's only ~$50 more a month for ins. but, that is not a small number.
