The Hunt (2012). Tubi. Very good film, although that one-year later ending felt a bit ambiguous.

Bronson (2008). Tubi. Dude is a bad ass MOFO. Good performance by Harding.

By about season 8, the plot lines get pretty repetitive.

Im thinking/hoping by then, I will have seen most of the episodes. Half way through S5, I only recall having seen one episode. I was only 6 years old when S5 started.

I didn't think this show was as bad as the rap it got. Yeah, a case can be made for the wokeness thing, but that isn't even the biggest problem with the show. The first 2 episodes were just terrible. Cringe acting and bad storytelling. But I feel that was more because of the director, which changed by the 3rd episode, and I thought it got better from there. And the saber duels were probably among the best - if not THE best - I've seen to date. I loved the distinct fighting styles, which also paralleled the character personalities.

Beggars of Life (1928). Tubi. An entertaining silent film. As the lead says, “We are all beggars of life.” Looked up this film when I found out the train sequences were filmed in my county. I hiked to the Goat Canyon railroad trestle in 2007 and saw the box cars still on site that were derailed in the final scenes of the film.

Paprika (2006). Tubi. Japanese anime. Generally regarded as a good animation but I was not sold on it.

City of God (2002). OK site. That was intense. A young Alice Braga’s feature film debut.

Homeless to Harvard (2003). OK site. A made-for-TV movie the Mrs wanted to watch. It was ok.

Life is Beautiful (1997). OK site. The ending got me real misty eye. Guido’s positivity was annoying at first but you soon realize it’s what helps him save his son.

The Magic of Belle Isle (2012). Tubi. A bit predictable but a sweet story with a good ensemble.

The Great Ziegfeld (1936). OK site. Quite the elaborate set designs and performances. To me, Roy Bolger stood out as a dance performer - he would go onto play the scarecrow in Wizard of Oz (1939).

Aniara (2018). Hulu. A n interesting thought provoking sci-fi from Sweden. A reboot/remake of the 1960 version, also from Sweden.

Solaris (1972). Max. This could have been a short film. Heavy on the dialogue and light on the action.

Black Panther (2018). Disney. Action packed. RIP Chadwick.

Baby Driver (2015). Netflix. That was pretty good. Top notch car chase scenes and a love story with the adorable Lily James.

A Hard Day’s Night (1964). Max. Good music, lame script.

I was going to watch them back to back but ran out of time. I pushed it out a bit. You liked it?

I haven't actually seen it but we read the book for a comparative literature course I took then watched a few scenes from both movies. I was just surprised that I'd never heard of it before then.

There is another Russian version, in 1968, that is closer to the novel than the 1972. I read the two directors downplayed each other’s version.

Gentleman’s Agreement (1947). OK site. A little slow in spots but a good performance by the lead actors.

Rushmore (1998). OK site. Quirky film, same with the soundtrack, but catchy.

Levity (2003). Tubi. Well made film about an ex-con seeking redemption and forgiveness. Good cast - Thornton, Freeman, Dunst.

Where the Day Takes You (1992). Tubi. Except for the runaways being too well dressed and with well applied makeup, this was a good film about runaways in Hollywood. Has many up and coming young stars - Sean Astin, Lara Doyle, Rikki Lake, Kyle Maclachlan, Adam Baldwin, Alyssa Milano, and Will Smith in his film debut.

Mother and Child (2009). Tubi. Very good cast and film. Liked that sad ending in that I did not see it coming.

All That Jazz (1979). Tubi. A musical I would recommend. Good cast and storyline.

Auto Focus (2002). Tubi. Interesting film about Bob Crane, whose murder remains unsolved. The film focuses on his philandering lifestyle.

Hawaii Five-O (72-73). Paramount+. Completed S5. This season had some of the better episodes, and also some of the worst.Notable guest appearances: Ricardo Montalban, William Shatner, Diana Muldaur, Dirk Benedict, Andy Griffith, Richard Hatch, Carol Lawrence, and Erik Estrada.

The Company Men (2010). Prime. Good cast, good flick but with an over-optimistic ending.

A Midnight Clear (1992). Prime. An under-advertised/underrated war film worth watching.

Well worth it watching being a big fan of the movie.
There is a lot of info on the making of the film.

I finished the first season of Landman, I liked it.
BB's character is a bit over the top, but that's a given.

Been watching a lot METV and Grit since my shoulder surgery.
Bonanza, The Rifleman, Tales of Wells Fargo, Zane Grey Theatre (both I had never heard of), and quite a few old Western movies.
    Even a few Hogan's Heros..
It's funny to see the same actors on all these old Western shows.
I like to Gooogle these actors, learn about them, and see all the shows and movies they have been in.

You Were Never Really Here (2017). Prime. Intense drama flick. On The Independent’s list of brilliant films without an Oscar nomination. This would certainly qualify for Phoenix’ performance.

Earth to Echo (2014). Prime. The kids were good. The storyline is too similar to ET and the point-of-view filming technique is very annoying. Good soundtrack.

Upgrade (2018). Netflix. Despite some little plot holes and a drab start, this dark SciFi finishes strong, and with an innovative storyline and fight sequences.

Shimmer Lake (2017). Netflix. The tried reverse chronology method. This one is a funny dark comedy and with a didn’t-see-that-coming ending.

Destination Moon (1950). Xumo. From the trailer, “Never before has any woman … sent her man on such an exploit!”

The Damned (1962). Fawesome. Interesting Brit Sci Fi flick. Shirley Anne Field shines.
