Anyone have any recommendations for a Cold Air Intake for the New TRD Pro? Anyone with a 2022-2024 upgraded this part? Will the "Genuine Toyota Parts PTR03-34100 TRD Cold Air Intake System" fit if I buy two of them?

    If not, S&B or K&N?

You do know that the OEM intake is a CAI intake, correct?

Any modification to a forced induction intake isn't going to net you a whole lot. When it sucks, it sucks.

And no, buying two of those won't work. Each side is different. It isn't even for your generation truck. Have you opened your hood?

I am patiently waiting for Stillen’s CAI. It will draw cold air from the stock location and from the front grill.

Thanks, is the Momentum GT your favorite out of the limited options for a third gen? Also, what exhaust would you recommend and why? I'm not big on loud, but I am big on tone.

AFE is definitely the best one out there. The factory intake is restrictive on purpose. That makes it quiet so you don’t hear the turbos. But it also costs HP

AFE is the least restrictive design. Look at how the air comes into the box on all of the intakes. You can even see the difference.

we build exhaust systems here at my shop. With several sound levels to choose from you won’t get the Honda civic v6 scream, unless you want that. Haha.

give a call for details. 760-877-4234

There was once a time when I also spent money irresponsibly on a 6,000lb brick. 06 Silverado SS Supercharged. :spending:

I disagree. While yes they accomplish the same thing, the S&B system is superior and cheaper for a few reasons.

The AFE system comes with shorter tubes that connect to the stock tubes. This allows afe to sell the extra length of tubing as "turbo inlet pipes" for an extra $200 on top of the already more expensive cost. S&B comes with that all as one piece.

S&B is also easier to get to the air filters for cleaning.

Did you ever upgrade your cold air intake? I have the 2024 hybrid limited which is the same engine as the TRD but does not have the TRD cold air intake ....was looking to upgrade

same. Install was relatively easy using my girlfriend’s small hands to get to the mounting brackets but neither of us could get the mounting bracket on the driver side tube to screw in due to the angle and short screws. No idea how in the hell anyone is supposed to rec h those but the intake tube itself is relatively solid in place to where I’m not worried about it having some give.
Power difference, dunno. Made the turbos louder and my exhaust seemingly as well though

I'm wondering if anyone has experience doing this to the hybrid limited, I know the engine is the same as the TRD but thought I read somewhere it throws an error you can't get rid of

The TRD intakes will throw a code if you don’t get the reflash but these aftermarket ones should not throw a code. Should not being the key words

It will only throw a code of you do it wrong. Mine is a hybrid. If you forget to put the little inserts in the tube then you get to much oil and a code is thrown.

Do you get any type of thump sound? I know the sound is so to the intake, but it's a weird thump. I'm guessing it is just the sound of the air rushing in when gears change etc. But it's kind of annoying.

No, no thump sound for me. I occasionally get some like back pressure gurgle from the aftermarket exhaust but nothing from the intakes themselves

I was having it on my 23 and I thought there might be something wrong with the truck and didn't think anything about the intake. I recently put the intake into my 24 and it started again so I know it has to do with the intake.
