It's perfect for my needs. I decided not to go under the seat and just put it behind it. No one is going to ever sit behind me anyways.

Ordered these from Amazon since the concensus on led head lights and led fogs lights is you need one resistor plugged into a headlight. They only come in set of two. Anyways I tried one, the both. No change in high beams coming on when fogs should be on. Waste of money.

I still need to decide where I want to mount my bass knob.

Those went on the headlights or the fogs?

Headlights. 9003. Fogs are 9006. But both are LED. The fogs worked great for months, before the addition the LED headlights. Want. Fuck I want.... 5 too. Perfect.

Side note: I'm thorough impressed with this 8" Kicker Hideaway HS8 powered sub. Super easy install, plenty of boom, too. Maybe not great for bassheads, but perfect for metalheads and punk rockers.

Can you conceive of any way it fits in the space occupied by the rear passenger under seat storage compartment?

It will eventually rattle loose like mine did. I'd throw on a drop of blue lock tight on the threads. Otherwise, one day your sub will cut out and you'll be like "wtf just happened??"

Took the aubeam resistors to the UPS store (for scamazon refund) OMW to pickup these wheels. Hella score. Paid $650 for set of five 18x9" 0 offset FN Konigs in gun metal. The fifth is flat black, but it'll be the spare. Too bad I didn't wait a week to buy new tires. I guess I'll have to swap em and buy a spare tire this week. im hoping I can sell the five GX 18's for $400. The spare will include a tire lol

The 4x4 has been reduced to a storage unit for a few months now.
But as fate would have it, the guy that sold me these wheels lives in my hood. It gets better... He's a Toyota mechanic and he's willing to help with my front end rebuild on the 4x4 in a few weeks! :yay:

The 0 offset really filled the fronts out nice. I hated how they were fucked in so much before. The rears with the Spidertrax look aggressive AF. Pics don't do the poke justice. The black all blends together.
    20250204_115132.jpg 20250204_115142.jpg

I'm having DT rebalance all five wheels. I heard a clunk at the second stop light I hit when I left, then went to put the spare under the bed and when the tire bounced on the driveway, I heard the weights clank.

It's looking like DT used the wrong lugs too... The kid is swapping em now. Worse part is I have a brand new set at home that looks pretty much the same as the set I just paid em $50 for. I forgot about em, because they came with the 17"s I bought for my 06 and I haven't installed em yet.
But I was feeling some vibrations and then went to swap the spare tires and the weights almost fell off. Thank god that happened or I might've kept running the wrong lugs they installed and thought I was just being paranoid.

Side note, with the new offset, I no longer rub tire on frame at full lock.
Also with the more aggressive set up in general, especially the rear with the spacers, I'm re-thinking the rake situation. I wasn't a fan of the rake, but Casey liked it. But it might look ok with some rake now. Either way I do plan to swap the 1" lift blocks (we used as lowering blocks) for the 1/2" lowering blocks that SOS sent me. I wasn't enthusiastic about raising the ass 1/2", but I feel it's a necessary evil.
    upload_2025-2-4_21-50-45.jpg
Notice the axle cradle and the block are lined up the way they should be with the peg in the hole. But it just doesn't line up properly with the geometry of the kit. So anyway I think an additional 1/2" of rake paired with the 1.25" Spidertrax and the 0 offset 9" wide Konigs should make it look mean AF. Wouldn't hurt to show more than one thread as well!

I am getting a popping noise on hard turns recently. Before it was the sway bar, but I didn't see anything loose on it today. I'm wondering if I should replace the UBJs. I know LBJs are OEM or die. But what about UBJs? Any safe aftermarket options?

    Truck looks goooooood. Low!

You mentioned that your poor experience with the TruTrac might be because of your bad tires. Does it do the same thing with the new ones?

    Thanks.

With the new tires the rear hooks up immediately from a dig, even with the 4.10's.
With the 3.91 gearing, OEM LSD, and old tires, it wouldn't do a burnout from a dig.
Once the 4.10's and truetrac went in, those old bald tires just couldn't get traction for a few seconds if I floored it.
Part of me is sad it grips so good now because burnouts are fun. But overall the truck is so much better now. Braking, acceleration, handling all improved with the tires.

Sweet. I’m sorta kinda looking into a regear or limited slip installation for this summer.

I won’t have the cash to do both a limited slip and a regear, I’ll have to pick one. 4.10s sound really nice. But I hate the one wheel peel. We’ll have to see.
