    Hey all,
‘23 TRD Off-Road Sequoia owner here

Looking to get started on some mods but have a lot of questions considering I’ve never done it before.

Need a crash course on lift kits please!

At the moment I’m looking for a 3” lift but at a lower “beginner” price but don’t want to ignore quality either
I’m currently on-road about 90% of the time and want something that’ll hold up off-road as well.
    Any suggestions?

for wheels, what’s the ideal width?
Thinking of starting with 18” so I don’t have to replace tires right away
Is that smart or is it best to replace tires and wheels at the same time?
Short term goal is to get 35’s, but confused on 9” or 10” width would be best to narrow down my options.

Do 35’s fit with no lift?

what’s the best order to go about getting lift, wheels & tires checked off?

Read the stickes in suspension and wheel/tire forums...they have info you need. Many will be helpful to you.....look for the one on "different types of lifts".

and review some of the posts, good info on what people have installed, costs, pics, etc.

Since you do go off road, I would stay away from the low buck "spacer" type lifts unless by off road you mean forest roads. If you are off roading any heavier than that lifted coil overs will be much better.

Yes, I've seen people fit 35's, but they're pretty big for no lift, and depending on the actual tire size, wheel offset, etc, there could be a chance for rubbing/contact. Check the other sticky threads for wheel/tire combos, as that's a massive can of worms to open.

We sell the 3" Dobinsons IMS lift as the lowest height option we offer.
