Hello everyone, so the other day I decided to spent a bunch of money on changing my audio system on my 23 SR5 non-jbl

    audio system includes:

front and rear focal component speakers
    3x Infinity 3 1/2 dash speakers
PAC head unit plug in harness
    Lci7 LOC
Alpine 4 channel amp for speakers
    Alpine mono amp for subs
    2x 10” Rockford Fosgate P3D2-10 @2ohms
    And the install accessories.

Anyways the problem is that when the volume is low or on mute I keep hearing this hissing sound, I have changed the gains on the loc and amp but it seems to not go away.

Anyone have had this before and you have a solution? Please help the hissing sound is annoying and gets louder when the volume goes up

Could be one of your speakers is damaged (would be isolated to one speaker vs a few) vs interference from the RCAs (coming through all on that amp).

Maybe post in the Audio & Video forum too. Does it change with engine RPM?

I'd try unplugging things one at a time to see if it is one of the amps or the LOC. If you Amp can take high level inputs, maybe test bypassing the LOC. Good luck, I hope it isn't a bad part as that can be super hard to troubleshoot.

Ok I will try that today. It seems to only be the dash speakers but I will confirm

I got a strange buzz from my passive crossovers up front. Moved them to near where the center speaker is/was and that helped. But, that wasn't a buzz, more of a ground loop feedback. I think related to all the wires near the kick panels. If you can isolate to those speakers it should help. Not saying it will be easy...

It’s weird because I think it’s the center dash speaker. I just haven’t gone home to actually check.
Its most obvious when the music is at level 0 or paused

I've seen many recommendations to take out the center all together. I tried both and I don't think the center does much. It is just a combined left + right, not a true center unless you ran new wires from your amp.

I’ve read a couple of post saying that, I’m going to see if it’s only the center speaker and remove it if it is

    Depends on which radio.
The separate amp seems to have it's own center feed from the amp.
Not sure if it is an actual 'center' channel.

Bulit in amp has the left-right combo like a Gen 2.5.

I will take it out tomorrow and check if that fixes anything… I did check to see which speakers are hissing and it seems to be all the speakers I guess the dash speakers are just louder or easier to hear

So I haven’t had time to check the dash speakers but I did go trough all the wiring and checked the ground wires and power wires as well as the speaker wires and everything looks good.

I also figured out how to set the gains in bot the LOC and Amp using a multimeter but it is still the same .

the static, hissing sound is really annoying me lol

Did you run the RCA's cables and the Positive wire down the same wiring path on the same side of the vehicle? If so, you could try running the positive power cable down one side of the truck (driver side) and the RCA's down the other side (passenger side) of the truck.

So the the speaker wires are far away from the power and ground cables but the rcas do cross at one point like a “T” … today I reworked everything and separated them but the static was still there so I went back to the original since it looks more organized
