To Scotch Lck, or not to Scotch Lock. That is the question.

It'll be a while before I can have a good backup camera installed, but I can pick up a temporary fairly cheap. It's a simple wireless setup with a license plate camera and a receiver that I can plug into a power socket. My dilemna is getting power when the backup lights are on. Is there a connector I can plug into, or will I need to Scotch Lock into a wire somewhere?

 

Scotch-loks should never be an option, crimp or solder then heat shrink

 

That's why I'd prefer a handy connector somewhere.

 

If you have the 7 pin trailer connector the center pin is the reverse circuit.

 

Perfect! Thanks! I'd forgotten about the trailer connector. Curving a connector to fit will be easy enough. Here's the pinout in case someone else needs it.
