    Hello all:
This is my fourth Tundra crewmax, first one was the 2010 SR5 TRD, second was a 2015 crewmax Limited, third was and currently also is my 2020 Platinum (for sale), and my newest truck is the 2025 1794.
I do believe that this iteration is more solidly built than the first gen 3, and the small rattle/squeak in my console cover I diagnosed and fixed.
My first mileage experience in mixed driving is 19.3, so I'm happy. My 2020 does around 16.3 in the same driving environment.
Do I miss the V-8? No. I appreciate the low end torque of the new V-6 - I felt that moderate accelerating with the 5.7 was a big deal, likely due to the six speed transmission as well as the low torque at lower RPMs.

The 5.7 doesn’t have “low torque” at lower RPMs. It actually makes great torque (320+ft/lb) from about 1200rpm on and has a wide, flat torque power band. It peaks later than the 3.4TT at 3500rpm or so at 401ft/lb.
Much of the perceived power feeling in the later 2.5gens is a very muted throttle response programmed in by Toyota.
To your point though, the new TT motor makes gobs of torque down low and peaks much earlier.

Thanks for your input, I should have included the old 6 speed transmission as part of the problem. I didn't appreciate having to use the tow/haul mode for normal driving.

I said "low torque at lower RPMs".
