@TurboKits I am certain the failure was due to the issues of the motor swap & the MAF is a victim of that mistake. I am in no way suggesting Turbo Kits excellent product is at fault.

Neither was I. Just that it's weird to melt. I've seen wires melted elements burned. Would of thought an ecu/ignition fuse pop beforehand.

Apparently, I misunderstood, I thought it was at the harness.

Explains how it's not on the harness side & is on the MAF lol

This is what they sent. I have no idea what they are on about. I really thought they were talking about at the harness.

This is a modern MAF for my BMW, looks very similar. I don't think the guy that sent the picture knew what he was sending. I really think it's at the harness. Worst case I'm going to go over the weekend.

At least they recognize that w/o solving the underlying problem they are going to have a very unhappy customer. Fingers crossed they have your best interests at heart and are truly trying to get to the bottom of things and get it resolved!!

I don't have a problem with them driving it, it's just odd taking it home. As long as it comes back soon, done, I'm ok with it.

As far as "stalking" he knows the Airtag is there, when they needed gas, he said check your Airtag if you want to know where it is.

I'll probably add this over in the classifieds soon but I have a mostly complete 1900 for sale.

I bought a big lot of 80 Series and Tundra parts from a buddy last year and decided not to run the supercharger for now... in the middle of a manual swap and new turbo etc. on my 80 and I can't bring myself to let anyone else work on my vehicles (you know how it is haha) so I don't have time to make the Tundra another project.

As far as I know it would need injectors and a fuel pump, and doesn't include the Magnuson tuner. Also I only got the top of the airbox - I think it's supposed to work with some OEM airboxes but I'm not sure.

Anyway it has 30k miles on it and I'm asking $4500, I hope that's a fair price?

Would prefer local pick-up - I'm in Utah. Could be talked into a Moab or St. George delivery

Hey everyone Johnny from Cruisers & Co here.

@bflooks thanks for directing me here, hopefully I can clear things up!

Cruisers and Company is a Toyota 4wd Shop that operates just north of Denver CO. We primarily work on Land Cruisers but anything that falls under the umbrella of Toyota 4wd’s we’ll work on.

We are the US Distributor for Wholesale Automatic Transmissions. In addition to HD Valve Bodies, Wholesale Auto also supplies torque converter lock up kits, larger cast aluminum oil pans, billet torque converters, completely overhauled HD transmissions, temperature gauges and much much more.

I know from reading through the last couple pages that there is some confusion on the price and I agree it is a bit confusing as the US pricing is more expensive. They are tapped into many markets across the globe and each market has its own price map that is given to a distributor for that area because the cost of business is different. Australia is different than New Zealand which is different from the pacific islands which is different than here. The prices on our website reflect what we’ve been told to list them, C&C did not come up with them. The short answer to the difference is it’s really just the cost of doing business in the states with a product lineup that is built around exchanging cores. The cores come back to us, we clean them, prep them for storage and then store them until we have a container ready to ship back to Australia. Over the years ao much has gone wrong when things get sent back to Australia and to be in the market, they’ve decided to have a distributor host all of the cores to take a lot of the headache out of international shipping/importing/exporting.

I have sat down and crunched the numbers and will be getting things finalized on Monday on the website so that we can do a group buy on Wholesale Automatic Products.

I would like your input though! Would this group be more inclined to do a “buying power by getting people together” or give a significant discount on what we call the “Trifecta” - purchase a bundle of the VB, Lock up kit, cooler kit or Cast Aluminum pan that adds a significant amount of capacity?

I am open to ideas and again Brian, thanks for sending this my way. Also want to share this publicly since he started it, depending on what the group does Brian will also get the same discount on his already ordered VB

Looking forward to seeing what the group decides. I'm on the sidelines for a bit while I recover from the motor and VB upgrade, but I will say the lock up controller is intriguing.

@Cruisers & Co. Thanks for logging on! I would be up for a group buy on the extreme valve body especially, but am less interested in the “trifecta” package personally. Depending on the deal and what the group decides they would like offered though I may be down either way. Looking forward to the details on the group buy and thanks to @bflooks for reaching out.

I'm interested in the VB, larger pan and maybe the lockup kit. I don't tow much but it would still probably help. I have the stage 2 harrop sc so I would guess the extreme vb?

@Cruisers & Co. Does the version of VB upgrade matter or does either apply (nomad & extreme)?
