Ok new tires are great. Much better braking, stability, control, hell even acceleration. Thanks to @FishNinja for pointing me to Sumitomo tires. $9xx out the door for the set at DT.
Despite their price, they have good specs and customer ratings.
Edit: maybe the better acceleration is due to better grip, or maybe I forgot that I knocked the dirt out of my air filter, and added that cold air intake tube to the front of the Volant box. lol



Now to the bad. I gotta play with these CoLights. Seems they need some adjustments. Also when I turn on my fog lights, the high beams come on instead. I guess I need to do some research. I'm betting I need resistors for my LED fogs.

 

I'm going to try.to install this bad boy this weekebd,.if I have time. First I have to install Dad's Xmas present. I got him a touch screen radio and backup camera for his Taco.

 

I’d love to hear a review on this and see where you mount it. I need to do something with my sub situation.

So, you can install and wire up an amp, but can't get your ditch lights done

 

I can do all kinds of stuff when I put my mind to it. The Nilight harness I bought for my ditch lights isn't long enough to reach the led pod on the passenger side. I've been too lazy to procure more wire and cobble it together.

Last night I finally wired the radio harness together for Dad's touch screen radio. Today I'll install it and the backup camera/tailgate handle combo.

Also worth mentioning I bought this powered sub not only because I prefer to use kicker subs, but because it's pretty plug n play with the harness it uses. Not that I don't know how to wire a sub and amp separately. But again I'm lazy.


Time to go adjust my headlights before the sun comes up

 

Got the up and down adjusted, now I have to do the left to right on the driver side for sure. I think the passenger side is ok. But wtf is up with the cutoff on the colights?
Iirc there was only one way for them in the headlights. I wonder if there was a way to clock the mounting part on them. Seems they need to turn one hour clockwise.

 

Mine had an adjustment on the collar to rotate them.

 

I have the Nilight pods/harness for my ditch lights.......

 

That's what stopped me in my tracks 5 years ago and I never fucked with it since. As far as I know, the wiring kit I bought was universal. Probably not meant for a fullsize truck

 

you know, now that I think about it; I'm pretty sure I just cut and soldered in some speaker wire to extend my harness.
