Concurrent with the engine replacement after 2 week wait for the engine, they are finally also getting the fuel line permanent repair done because it is logical to do them at the same time.

The reason I'm making this post is that apparently Toyota is only allowing a two-day rental for my "loaner", and they won't reimburse the dealer for anything beyond 2 days. I don't blame the dealer, but the idea that both of these recalls have to be done in two working days including testing of all of the systems just seems like Toyota is rushing the dealer.

Fortunately I have great faith in my dealer, Rancho Santa Margarita Toyota in California, and I really like my service advisor and all the people there. They said they've done several of these engine replacements already so we'll see how it turns out.

On a side note I called Toyota today about my connected services hardly ever working right including remote start never working through the app, and the GPS map not loading half the time. After a half hour on the phone, the rep only had the authority to give me a one month credit. One month.
What a load of crap. I've paid $15 a month for 2 years for stuff that is normally free with other manufacturers... and the system doesn't deliver.

I love my truck but if I start experiencing additional regular problems after picking it up I'm going to Lemon Law it. In California that means getting all my payments back, my down payment back my taxes back, my attorney's fees, and possibly punitive damages. Again this is not the Dealer's fault. They're a great dealer. If you live in the area I highly recommend them.

Toyota allows 3-4 days (?) can't remember exactly but I picked up the rental 9 am Monday, truck was done yesterday but didn't drop off rental until 8 am today. No charge.

Do you know how many engines they’ve replaced at RSM Toyota? I asked capo valley and they had only done 4, so I’m waiting awhile longer before getting it done (which the service advisor recommended anyways). My buddy used to work as a tech at RSM and said their master techs were great and it was a very well run shop. For your other issues, make sure to get plenty of documentation before going down the lemon law route - hope everything gets resolved, though!

They've done about 5. I just got my truck yesterday. Purrs. No more throttle delay. I'll be checking for leaks, etc in the next few days. Can't tell they did anything when looking at the engine bay except some new hoses, probably because they just drop the entire assembly in. You don't have any of that greasy gas-oil smell when major engine work is usually done I'm taking it easy for a couple hundred miles. I'll be making a new thread on this experience.
