Flatbed Tundra Camper Build

Hey everyone. New to the forum but have been reading your helpful posts since I bought the truck (04DC)

I’m building a DIY flatbed and removable camper to go on it. I just wanted to introduce myself and share my progress incase anyone is curious.

so far I’ve built the flatbed and some removable bed sides. That way I have a pickup truck still when I need it.

okay im starting to figure out the site. I had issues with my first try uploading photos. turns out the photos were shooting RAW format. I just had to convert to JPEG. I made the bed sides fold on all three sides. they close with an adjustable cam latch. there is also a drawer in the rear of the bed that is about 3 ft wide. Im just about ready to buy the steel tubing that will make up the frame of the cab over camper. I'll post some more updates as the project rolls along.

Pretty build... I have questions

Did you have any issues with the fill neck and getting enough angle?

Did you just rest the flat bed on the frame or did you have to stand it off to clear the wheels?

What gauge steel for the tubing/sheet metal?
