It definitely works and makes a noticeable difference on heavier loads over the standard tow/haul mode. I was actually a little surprised it made that much of a difference to be honest

Not sure what dial you are talking about. I have a tow/haul button, and a dial that toggles between eco, normal, and sport.

    What am I missing?

So isn't tow/haul+ the same as tow/haul in sport mode? I guess I don't understand the nuances.

I like the option of the different drive modes. Was wondering if anyone has any experience with running a custom setup?

My point is, if I'm in sport mode and hit the tow haul button, is that not tow/hall+? Or is there a whole new experience I have yet to discover?

Having the Stillen trucontrol, still feels bad on shifts. The tundra on 37s (no modes used) did better down hill going through Cloudcroft NM than F150 lariet 3.5 in haul mode.

As others have stated… this 3.4 TT, the smooth controllable application of torque below 2,000 rpm and seamless follow through of horsepower above that rpm is something Toyota really got right !! Also, the 10 spd auto is flawless in my opinion. This direct shift 10 spd is so quick and responsive to input.. almost like a dual clutch. I’ve driven dual clutches that don’t respond to input as quickly. Transmission programming is perfect regardless of the mode you select.

I'll be honest here, when he 3rd gen first came out, I didn't like the look of them at all, and I swore a truck wasn't a truck without a V8. It took awhile, but that all changed. I live down the road from the Toyota plant in Ky. I'd say close to 75% of vehicles I see every day are Toyotas. Seeing so many of the different models of Tundra & how they looked grew on me. When it was time to move on from Ford, I decided to try out a Tundra. During the test drive I realized how smooth, comfortable & capable the truck was, the tech on the inside is close to whats in our Lexus and the Smoked Mesquite color blew me away as well. I'm still in the honeymoon phase with my truck but I truly look forward to driving it, and hopefully many years of reliability. I never thought I would own one, but I'm happy I do.

I'm really looking forward to testing this out, soon. I had no idea tow/haul has it's own 2 unique drive modes. Apparently I skimmed right past that in the manual.

raped ape mode, its had 0 torque management , even sport+ has some.

when you have a trailer is also has some pretty good engine braking, I mean for a small motor anyways

You're not the only one to miss it. Took about a year of ownership before I found it. And i only found it because it was posted here (probably a post by Mr. Borla, boost on!).

    The looks
The transmission/engine pairing is remarkably good. Engine issues aside, it’s a great piece of engineering. This transmission should win awards.
The capability in multiple situations, towing, highway, snow, off road, etc. it just does them all quite well.

Tint and wheels. Decked box in the bed. S and B Cold Air filters under the hood. Shiftpower throttle response controller.
LOL. I bought my 2023 with 13k and the only thing really wrong with it was the radio knob. Searched and most places wanted about $40. Found a local dealer with one at $21.99. It hung on for a little while but then finally completely broke. The OEM replacement I bought seems to be a lot tougher than the original.
