Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.

IMO it's about how one puts the info out there. Knowing it is not correct to share documents and not caring while continuing to do so is still a dick move to me.

A bit of V35A engine history and why not all Toyota vehicles with this engine are affected by the recall.
The V35A engine was first introduced in the Lexus LS in 2017. All engines for Lexus LS were produced at the Tahara plant, where the Lexus LS is assembled. These Tahara-built engines are not subject to the recall, as they didn't have the contamination problem.
In 2021 Toyota started production of the V35A engine in Alabama. These engines are used in Tundra, Sequoia and Lexus LX. The decision to use Alabama-built V35A in Lexus LX is due to the fact that Tundra, Sequoia and LX have (nearly) identical front frame, making the engine mounts and accessory location identical, so the Alabama-built engines are plug-and-play for the LX.
My understanding is that Tahara still produces the V35A engine today (taking advantage of the capacity that was released by stopping production of V8 engines - Tahara was one of two Toyota plants making V8s). These engines are used on the LS. The GX also uses (or at least used) Tahara-built engines because the front frame is identical to the Land Cruiser 250, so while the engine blocks are basically identical, the exterior envelope is somewhat different, reducing the synergies of using Alabama-built engines.

I don't think it was a dick move. Maybe not the smartest move, but he was just trying to help.

The V35A-FTS (Type '21) used in the LX is not built at TMMAL.

What's wrong with someone having confidence in what they've read, seen, and/or heard when it is correct? And time has proven so.

Did he not correct himself when he was wrong? He has done that a few times on Facebook and fallen on his sword.

It’s exactly how misinformation gets spread. I guess it’s somewhat unavoidable. But one could do a little more research before leading others astray.

And as mentioned, he had corrected himself when something wasn't exactly right on Facebook.

Did he not do that on here? From what I recall from others, he corrected himself here when wrong.

So keeping other owners informed while also keeping pressure on Toyota to correct issues is a "dick move"?
Not "correct" according to whom? Toyota? The Forum and it's owners? Or actual Copyright Law?

When a document is on NHTSA, it is up for public consumption and does not break any law, in regards to copyright, to then share it elsewhere.

I wasn't around when all that went down, but risking legal action from Toyota is hardly "not caring".

All I did was the tune and intake. I'm afraid I would not like the sound of the exhaust.
