At the beginning of ownership. It was great leaving truck on and exiting while not hearing the Ford honk but a lite beep beep.
I don't know why I enjoy having everything turn off when the truck gets turned off, mostly stereo.

One of my favorite features of my Gen 3 is using Google Maps in satellite mode on the 14" screen. It's like hovering over your truck in a helicopter wherever you go.

Yeah, it doesn't take much to please me.

-Heated seats really work. Level 3 is too hot for my tush

-AVS is really handy. Never have to worry about squatting, and lowering the bed a few inches to unload is nice on my old body

-Pulls/tows like a dream. I havent pulled anything big enough where it feels like the truck is even noticing

-Smooth power delivery on-demand. Merging into traffic or needing to quickly speed up to pass someone feels so safe and smooth. My other vehicles will drop 2 gears and redline if I step on it, while the tundra only drops a gear and before I look down im going 25mph faster than I should. That low end torque is really noticeable

I just traded my 2023 1794 with TRD off road for a 2024 1794 LE. had 19k on it only issue was radio knob. The only reason I did so was to get the package with Saddleback leather. Hybrid TRD prob Fox suspension and power running boards and bed step just icing on the cake. I have a 20' open trailer that I tow a track car on, roughly 5500 lbs. total. Neither truck hardly knows its back there except slight rear squat. 15mpg towing on flattish interstate seems reasonable to me. JBL stereo sounds decent within its limits for a stock setup. Looking at a reasonable upgrade in bass and amp power but def livable for me. That and a reasonable tint 70% windshield and 50% front side windows make the sun bounce off the hood tolerable. Best truck overall I've ever owned. only major criticism is high belt line make parking difficult without the cameras but getting used to it. Hybrid does move out faster and will do the neighborhood 25 mph cruise in EV mode so that's nice too.

As previously mentioned mentioned.. the big ass screen! Love it! Drives like a Lincoln with the AVS suspension. When in sport mode, that whistle of the turbos… and responsiveness of the engine.

As a first time truck owner I love the versatility of the Tundra and its drivetrain. All the while being whisper quiet on the highway even on 34” KO3s.

Always drive in Sport mode. Love having to pick up speed to merge onto the highway and my son in the backseat going “TURBOOOOOO!”

I'm jealous of a 6.5 foot bed on a crewmax.... There, I said it.

I bought one. And didn’t realize it until I parked it in my drive way. I was like it’s sure is longer than my other crewmax 23 tundra was. Haven’t tried towing with this one yet but in theory should be a bit more stable on highway with less sway. 10 inches longer from axle to axle as compared to the 5.5 bed

Ten speed is better than the six speed imo. Always have power and isn’t aggressively hunting for gears. Sport mode is stupid fun and makes me wonder how people drive TRX/Raptor R’s without racking up speeding tickets. Truck looks fantastic on bigger tires. VCheng said it best - it’s mine!
I have an carven exhaust on mine and it sounds great. Would I love it more if it was a V8? Yes, but this drivetrain is my favorite of the yotas I’ve driven (4.6 or 4.7 V8 on my friends 2011ish SR, 5.7 V8 in my friends 2nd gen, 3.5 in the 3rd gen taco).

There are so many things I love about my truck. The ride, the look, the gas, the power. Other than that the simple upgrades over my other Tundras, the JBL stereo, bed lights, under seat storage, pano roof, heated wheel, and I do really like the digital mirror

Why not? You get a significant more amount of truck for such a small price.

Mix of power, transmission and 20MPG is spot on. Really well sorted.
    Love the seats.
Great that it doesn't have the electronic gremlins my F150 did.

    good list:thumbsup:

I also really like having under-seat storage again, my 16 was 0 storage anywhere. I also like you can fold the seat down from teh back for more storage.

bed lights are great too especially when you have a tonneau, and agree on the heated wheel, it works awesome too, nice and hot

I also like the pano roof and blue ambient lighting everywhere, looks great at night and is functional all over.

lastly, load leveling rear and AVS for the win!

So who has used the select shifter? How's the power band on that?

I use the select shifter when going down mountain passes to engine brake, so I don't burn up the woefully lacking factory brakes. Don't really use it any other time.

Okay, that's seriously cool... I gotta' try this.

    I don't have a 3rd gen or a 14" screen, but I got a 10" Kenwood w/screen mirroring.

I used manual for awhile but have found that tow/haul does a great job at engine braking on steep twisty turnsy grades. Really only use manual now if I want to get a sense of what gear I’m in. Insane how fast you gotta be going for it to shift into 10th gear lol

The truck is just damn fun to drive. I look forward to when I get to tow or open it up a little bit.

I'll have to try tow/haul again. The one time I tried it was going down Berthoud Pass, CO in a snow storm with traffic crawling at around 20-25 mph. It didn't keep the truck geared down enough to stay off the brakes in that situation. I suspect it works better at a little higher speeds.

I think you will enjoy it. IMO, Google maps is superior to the Toyota navigation and Apple Maps. Satellite mode makes it the bomb.

Is that Tow/haul in Sport mode? If not, I don't think my truck has Tow/Haul+. I'll have to do some monkey clicking the next time I get in the high country.

    no, not sport anything

    and yes, you have it

hit tow haul button, then turn your dial and it will go into tow/haul+, its much more aggressive for bigger trailers, etc, you may like it

-The overall comfort. Especially the way it rides, the seating position compared to the Gen2/2.5 Tundra and 3rd gen Tacoma, the heated seats and steering wheel etc
-The way it looks! The best looking 1/2 ton truck on the market in my opinion, especially with a level/lift and tires and wheels
