    This!

As a platinum owner that originally wanted a pro. I’m very happy I ended w a platinum. I’ve driven sr5s and Pros and I can tell you the seats in the platinums are so worth it! And having the ball coolers are a nice function when it’s hot! The Platinum has led lights too so your not missing much. Buy the truck you really want so you won’t have regrets. You can buy a sport and regret not buying a platinum but I don’t think you will buy a platinum and regret not buying a sport.

    =)

I understand. I am willing to bet the Sport will not be stamped like the Pro. I am thinking it will be a Sport sticker like the Tacoma, and a sticker like the TRD OFF Road Tacoma and my Tundra. I am sure @Roman can confirm.

If you are spending that much money, don't regret not spending a little more.

    Get the Platinum.

Is it for sure that the Sports won't have any of the interior options that you're looking for? I'm just curious because every dealer that I've talked to basically says the same thing...which is that they don't know anything. I've seen the speculation that the Sport will just be a slightly upgraded SR5, but nobody seems willing to confirm that. At least not to me.

Does anyone have any solid info on when the Sports are actually going to start showing up? Thanks.

Get the Platinum you can always upgrade the suspension parts but you will be loving all that the Platinum has. Yes I love that the Pro has the embedded Logo on the bed side. Before I bought my Platinum I too was looking at the Pro but figured I was going to upgrade all the parts that the Pro has anyway later

Not sure what the changes are for the 2018 Platinum but I would try to locate a 2017 and take advantage of end of model year pricing and rebates.

Something like that. Let's just say, they have a particular diagram in the parts catalog that suggests the Pro will be coming out.

It's difficult in Hawaii to get exactly what you want. I have a family friend that works in a dealership here, so at least I know I'm not getting entirely ripped off.

I meant the actual words "TRD PRO", not the sticker or the "Tundra" on the bed door.

I know, I'm showing you there is no stamp, I just thought you might like to see it, its a cheesy sticker like the rest of the cheesy stickers on tundra's!

Your wife must be cold blooded or has an iron deficiency if she wants heated seats in Hawaii

If you didn't already know, you'd be surprised how quickly you get acclimated to the weather. After a short time here (we've lived here over a decade now), your body thinks 70F is cold. Then you come back from the beach at night, your cold and wet, heated seats become your friend.

I spent a lot of time in the north east. I've had my share of negative degree weather. Even I like to get under the covers in the evenings when it's "winter" here. Depends where on the island you live, too. When we lived in one area, we actually ran a makeshift heater at night!

Thanks. I visited the dealer today. It would take 4-5 months to get the Platinum in the color and config I want. Crazy! They told me to at least wait til the Sport gets announced so we can see the actual details behind it. It's nuts that even they seem in the dark about it.

My brother moved from the mtns of WV to NC and I moved to WNY, and when he comes up, he's always wearing a sweatshirt !

My wife has heated seats in her Nissan Juke and will not go back to seats without them

Current deal breakers.... No All wheel drive/4x4, no heated seats and mirrors, no GPS

This is why I didn't end up with a TRDPro. Can always add suspension, or heated seats but couldn't add a sunroof. So I bought a Limited so I could have a sunroof, leather and heated seats.
