Found a like new Bedrug on Craig's List for $250. Going to offer $225. Owner totalled his 08 Tundra. Bedrug is 2 years old and has been under a topper the whole time. Meeting seller after work tomorrow. Looks like another good deal for me off Craig's. :headbang:

    Long day:

CAM00434.jpg My OEM liner was installed 8 yrs ago. ZERO rust. There were the expected abrasions down to the primer layer. Only two small spots (less than a 1/2") were to bare metal with zero rust.

    CAM00435.jpg $225

CAM00442.jpg Spray on is no doubt the most preferred ( I was about to pull the trigger) but it wouldn't hurt hurt to see what advantages the Bedrug has:http://www.bedrug.com/

Do the d rings have backing plates or are you just going to not put too much force on them?

I really want the new OME goodies installed ASAP, but we have to wait, I guess, another week or so. Are you going to have the cab mount mod done at the same time when I get mine done? Seems like a good idea to me.

No backing plates. Depends on your definition of "force". With "force" there is always "tension " to consider too. Backing plates for what? Quite frankly what the hell (lower case hell) do you think I would connect that would require backing plates?? I occasionally stack a lot of fire wood and maybe stretch a net across the top to prevent the slight possibility that a piece of fire wood might come off.

If you have an ATV that requires a more serious tie down setup, I have a 17 ft trailer that can hold 3 ATVs

Just wondering. Don't remember the install method you took. No problems with a net across the top. Would have problems using the with a motorcycle in the bed. You have that covered with the trailer it looks like.

If I had a Harley , I would not put it in the back of my truck or on a trailer. I would go for a long ride.

I have a total of 16 permanent anchor points. 4 in the lower corners and 12 upper using existing mounts. The same mounts used by the deck rail system X2 with added bolts/nuts/washers thru the bed. I have no problem putting 2 motorcycles in the bed. Zero concerns. I will see dancing bananas first. :bananadance: (dang it)

New hire at work showed up today with this:

    CAM00448.jpg

2007 "long " cab DC with just over 100K miles. Hired a broker to find it. "Allen" had to go to Oklahoma to pick it up. Old fart like me except he is retired Air Force. Analog guy and part time bee keeper. It's only normal that a MARINE air man is re-training a zoomie, ie: Air Force. UUUUUU-RaHHHHH!!!

LED light bar shields arrived today:

CAM00450.jpg Problem is they are 6". 6"*3=18" >22" light bar. :homer:Close enough for now. Will definitely fit most if not all light bars.

Actually about two inches. The light lens is 20". I'm going to contact the seller to see what other sizes they might have. At least I know they fit well. (and cheap)

Wheelers Off Road is having a sale on recovery and tree straps. Ordered a 3"X30' strap for $45. Not bad. Wheelers' is well known throughout Oregon as one on the better 4X4 stores. Grant's Pass. I always called it Grant's Ass. ttps://wheelersoffroad.com/product/recovery-equipment-320778/wheelers-recovery-and-tree-straps/
