I recently bought a set of Boost Auto tow mirrors for my 2019 Tundra Limited. I would like to wire the Aux Reverse light for the mirrors into the cargo light switch on the dash. Not sure which wire to tap into. Any help would be appreciated.

I was able to figure it out. It is a pink wire see the attached photo. I spliced into the wire. The reverse lights now come on when the vehicle is unlocked and can be shut off or turned on by the cargo light switch.

Good work figuring it out! Did you opt for the high power spot lights, or the standard lights? I’m curious how the standard ones are. I went for the high power option wired to its own switch and they are amazing for backing up a trailer at night. I’ve used them a few times since installing not that long ago.

Yeah I was just a process of elimination and turning the switch on and off until I found the right wire. I went with the high output lights. I definitely like to see well at night.

THANKS for this post!!! I just installed new tow mirrors with reverse lights and wanted it set up just like yours (cargo light switch). Install went great. Everything was just plug and play. But.... I could not find the cargo light wire to tap. I searched the internet all over and finally came across your post on this forum. Many videos out there, but none had the correct wire location or color for my Tundra. I am surprised at the differences in wiring harnesses just from 1 year to the next. I found videos for 2017, 18, 19, 20. All different. If I had only come here first!
    Thanks again.

Does the light blind you when you unlock your truck to get in? They're just so bright.

I'm going to remove mine from the reverse lights circuit and send them to their own switch. I don't need them every time I use reverse, and if I forget and fold my mirrors in before putting the truck in park, they flash me in the cab as the shifter passes R lol

I was debating a separate switch just for the reverse lights. But I decided on the cargo light switch since I keep mine in the off position until needed. If you are in the “door” mode I guess it could kind of be in your face a little. However, my lights are not the high power ones I have heard others refer to. Does put out good light, but not excessive.

Ditto! Now I am wondering if it is the same wire for my 2021 SR5? This is my first post/ comment in this forum. Looking forward to learning from you all!
