Made some emoji pancakes for the Fotnot Five while my wife went and snapped some pics of the outside stuff we woke up at 8°.

Some of the gnarliest bruising I've had in years..
In a sling/brace for a month, take it off for exercises and showers.
Pain pills every 6 hours, but I'm trying to wean off of them.
Might be a different story when the real rehab starts..

But all in all, life is good, wife is taking great care of me, still getting paid, the dogs love me being home all day..
Hope to be getting the other shoulder done in a few months..

The few weeks I spent in one of those slings (full labrum tear) were miserable. The only way I could sleep was upright. Plus, it was my left shoulder and I'm left-handed for most things so...

I need both done, they hurt about the same.
I decided to go for the non-dominant side first.
The brace isn't really bothering me, I cant use the arm anyway.
I do sleep reclined up in the bed, by the time I wake up I'm scrunched down and lying flat..:eek2::cool:

I'll be figuring that out in a couple of months.
I did try to practice with the left hand before the surgery.

When I had my rotator cuff surgery my junior year in high school, being in a sling sucked and sleeping upright was miserable. Sucked more I wasn't on anything but ibuprofen. Thr morphine ball drip I was on I found out wad defective when I went in 3 days later. He thought I was overloading on my hydrocodones, but I quit taking them cuz they weren't working either. Similarly, right shoulder and I was right handed

I probably would be, but that would mean I have to clear the snow off the truck. I'll just let Mother Nature take care of that.

Damn these winds over here are enough to knock me over, yes literally. Forget about skimming the pool. Just wondering how many of these eucaltptus trees are going to go down.

    weather app...
Windy with sunshine. High 76F. Winds ENE at 20 to 30 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

    definatly stronger than reported.

all i gotta do is turn on the heater. the pumps were running on the hot tub, filter, and waterfall for the freeze protection, so it kinda looked like it was iced over in the pic. it would prob take a while to get from the cold temps up to hot tub temps tho

Worked as a night janitor for a bit up at a golf/ski resort in Northern Michigan. The pool was heated so it was open year around. I used to hate going out there in the winter at 10pm when the pool closed for the night to scrape/chip the damn frozen towels that people would leave out. Not as bad as scooping up the occasional pool turd though.
