    Morning from the TX Arctic/Siberian front!

    Got downright nipple-cuttin-glass temps last night:

    We ain't built for this! I bet my electric bill will run $7-800 this month :( We have the fireplace going full tilt, but it doesn't warm the 2nd floor up. Anyway, stay warm y'all... Probably heading back to work tomorrow.

    Update: forgot to post this little nugget. He wanted me to make a snow man, but this was the best I could do. We've got a lot of pine needles and debris on the ground so I had to use the snow off the Sequoia for clean stuff.

    Funny, my mom had never seen the ocean or took an airplane until my parents came down to Southern California to see me when I had some leave. She was 45 years old at the time.

    Left Louisiana before I became a teenager but I still have memories of ice cycles maybe 8 or 10 feet long hanging on second story buildings after ice storms
