I bought a 2019 Tundra limited double cab in 2022 with 50,000 it had a little highway vibration that comes and goes .starts around 60 to 65 and again only intermitantly, i put on new tires and the vibration continued, brought the truck back to the tire shop and had the tires rebalanced and the vibration got slightly better . the tires started to wear badly on the outside edge of both front tires . I had the alignment done and was told it was good now the vibration has gotten worse but im guessing its from the worn out tires .I am planing on putting on Michelins XLT as 2 HIghway tires . the wheel bearings are good no movement both front and rears , and the front end is tight no bad components at all very tight , truck now has a little over 100,000 . Vibration hapens under power and coasting and im stuck . allso truck had a minor hit in the passangers side rear end nothing serious bumper and fender damage no damage to the frame. any help would be appreciated.ps allso changed then front rotors and new pads.

At 100k miles your factory shocks are worn out. May not have failed outright, but are not providing the dampening they used to. Worth replacing. A small shake or vibration gets amplified by inability to dampen. Worn shocks also leave the tires outside of the normal resting point more potentially creating increased tire wear.

I had the exact same problem on my 2011. I replaced my shocks all the way around, had my tires rebalanced, and the front end aligned. Vibration gone.

I agree shocks. However, just cuz you should, check out the driveshaft components too and verify all is well there.

No lift or upgrades , original shocks . vibrates between 62mph and 70 mph at higher speeds it stops . Still think its the shocks would it stop at higher speed ? thanks for the responses

drive shaft seams fine did a visual inspection . would the shocks needing replacement would that cause the uneven wear to outside edge of the tires?

I had to replace my UCA's as they were worn out as well as my shocks. My truck wouldn't align correctly, and my tires started to wear weird, which made the whole issue worse. After the balance and alignment, the vibration was gone.

Vibration when on or off the gas sounds like a bad u joint to me. Had that happen on a Ford truck. Don't just inspect it, pull the driveshaft off & check each u joint closely.

Check both upper control arm bolts and make sure they are tight. Was the tire hit in the previous accident?

Tire was not hit . U joints are tight no play at all . new shock/ struts may be the answer . any recommendations for new ones ? again thanks for all the advice the more i think about it it seams to happen more often on less than perfect roads.

Yep. At mile 60,001 you begin your shock borrowed-time journey.

Work with Mister Missoula, Colton (memario1214), for your new shocks. It gets no better nor easier than his customer service at Hotshot Offroad.
