After did some readings, I still can't figure it out. I have a 2015 SR5 Tundra in White.
Option 1: Matte black color Pro Grill and Bulge. Does Toyota sell them?
Option 2: Color match (white) Bulge and Honey Comb grill with Toyota Letter. Does Toyota sell Honey Comb Grill with Toyota Letter with Color Match Grill Surround for 2015?

18-21 TRD Pro Grille - Superwhite 040 - Toyota (53101-0C070-A0) - I believe this only comes in glossy black for the grille. I just put this on my 2015 and it looks great.

Just wanted to confirm that you were able to fit the 18-21 TRD Pro Grille without making any modifications?

I like the the older style but the honeycomb style may grow on me

 

Yes, the 18-21 TRD Pro Grille fits just like the old one. I was in same boat and had to go with newer grille. It is definetly growing on me.

I have a 2021 sr5 trd offroad with the chrome bulge and chrome grille surround. I will order the army green bulge but confused about the army green grille surround. Do I order the sport sr5 grill in army green and can I just remove the army green surround from the new grille and swap it with the chrome on the original grill? That way I can keep the honeycomb portion intact with the TSS sensor from the original grille? Or is it difficult to separate the surround and better to just swap the TSS sensor from the old grille to the new one?

Also can someone verify I have the correct part #s?

Your part numbers are correct. I believe I have read where people have seperated the surround. I do know that you can order the pro grille and relocate the sensor. I believe all of the information is on this forum, but you might want to google it and add tundras.com in your search if the forum search doesn't work for you.

Appreciate it! Fred Anderson has been my go-to lately. I’m going with the SR5 Sport versus the Pro grille because I want to keep it classic and stick with my SR5 trim. Plus with the Pro grille the garnish is another item to purchase and it’s ridiculously priced being just a cover.

 

I have been scouring this site for clarity around paint-matched door handles with Smart Entry - I cannot figure out 1) part numbers for all four exterior handles, and 2) where to buy. 2020 MGM Platinum, btw.

Were you able to get these, as a Sequoia part or otherwise?

 

I purchased mine from Sparks Parts in 2020. I believe Sparks painted them. I do not know if they are still available.

I looked up my invoice. Purchased them in 2021 at a cost of $464.

 

I believe Sparks has gotten away from alot of the color matched items.

 

So buy flat black and have a local body shop paint to match?

 

If you know a good local shop then yes. You may be able to buy primed only handles - check with a good Toyota parts department like Lewis Toyota.

Sparks total: $526 plus shipping
RS total: $644.27

 

Smart entry handles only for 20-21 models?

 

Correct - only trucks with push button start have the “smart entry” front handles

 

I have a 2016 Tundra SR5 CrewMax 8/5.7. It is not a platinum or limited model, but it DOES have the parking assist sensor holes in the front Bumper End Caps.
I've read the initial post and tried to find clarification, but am still unsure.
I'm trying to get away from the chrome. Can I replace the oem part #521130C040 with 521130C908? And if I'm just wanting to keep it black like the bumper itself, do I even need to paint it? THANK YOU!

 

Anyone go from 2018 1794 to 2019+ TRD Pro look and can give me a list of what they bought? Some kid cut me off yesterday so I am debating.

 

Going through insurance? My limited experience they only replace what is there already.

 

Yeah, the kid has State Farm! Although liability only (he was driving 1999 Maxima) and he was driving for Door Dash!
That’s a valid point and might be easiest to just return it to the way it was. I am just worried about the level of coverage this kid had.

 

If you have full coverage, turn it over to your insurance company and let them handle it. Their lawyers will contact State Farm's lawyers and sort things out. If they don't total the truck, you'll have to pay your deductible, but you'll get that back when they subrogate the claim. If you use your insurance company's recommended repair shop, you should get a pretty good warranty on the repairs. If they total the truck, you'll get a check to put towards a replacement. When they make an offer, haggle as much as you can to see if they'll up the offer. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's always worth a try.

 

Sorry!!! The insurance companies will pay the dollars to put it back the way it was BUT if the parts are more expensive then you can pay the difference if you have a good body shop that works with you.

 

Appreciate all the good advice fellas! Got an email this morning from State Farm accepting responsibility so we are good to go.

I was asked to choose a body shop from their preferred partner list, however I also have a buddy that runs a good body shop. My initial thought was to go with him but he is not on that list.
Has anyone gone through similar? I don’t want to complicate things.
