Remote Start

I can remote start with the fob but truck stops running after about 10 minutes?

 

That's by design, and has been discussed dozens of times here.

 

I have read all of the remote start threads and did not see any mention of shutting down before truck is warm inside. Most were not able to start, or shutting off when door opened. I did see Some where the truck was warm and ready to go. I have heat set and steering wheel heat on. I will check with Dealership. Thanks for info it is appreciated.

 

Dealership will tell you the same thing.

It's been a cold winter in New Hampshire and I am happy with the 10 minute pre heat. Especially the ability to warm it from my phone at distances further than a key fob operates. If I need more time ie to melt ice and snow, I do a second 10 minutes.

Google is your friend....I Googled "Toyota remote start and 10 minutes" and literally got hundreds of links that talk about it. I just posted the 2 links that are directly from Toyota's website support section.

 

I love this is the answer like its magic.

 

googling it isn't always the answer. I found this thread.. by searching the forums!
Wish the dealer could reprogram this to run longer.
-18 here today. had to do 2 remote starts to get it comfortable. I had to set a timer! a modern tragedy to be certain.
